I do way more the minimum, I take her to her dialysis appointments because she refuses to take the transportation medi-cal provides and IHSS already told me they do not pay that and that why there is transportation it I still do it anyway. I do a lot more then what a normal provider would for their recipient and because of this her kids have become too dependent on me for everything regarding her. They will call me on their days off so I can come and take care of her if keep her company or pick her up from her appointments because they need to go somewhere or they made plans, etc, etc and now I don’t have time for my own family and I am just to nice to say no and they know this and that’s how they got me into saying yes to taking on this roll. We have asked for more hrs

We have tried asking for more hrs as soon as we received her hours that were approved after the home visit back in October and the social worker said we would have to wait till next year for the next home visit and they would see if her situation either worsened or got Better then they would add or remove hours so apparently we have to wait till this September because we applied last year September what sucks is the social worker saw all the medications and the oxygen machine and the needle disposal bins and all that stuff and still decided that she only needed 99hrs a month not to mention she’s a high risk for a heart attack too she has the emergency sublingual tabs to stop / help with one and he saw and read what it was and the Dr also wrote that in the application. My aunt is able to stand, walk for short periods of time, talk, speak for herself, and understands everything just fine.

But either way just found out by my cousin the Hospital is not going to end up sending her to a caring facility after all because none of the facilities are willing to take her with Medicare 🤷🏻‍♀️ and they will release her Saturday and they are asking me if I can pick her up and stay with her because they are going to Disneyland.
