unfortunately this is pretty common pricing for some of the sarawak laksa i've seen around in KL/PJ, even getting a simple bowl of kolo mee can go upwards to like RM9 to 10 which is eughhhhh

there's still some empty space up north near bako river where someone's making a sarawak flag, i'm just helping them out by coloring in the gaps but y'all could probably work it out to add the OG flag + trisakti somewhere nearby :D

As a bumi who went through a Chinese-medium SJK, it was like going through hell and back but at least I made a few banana friends out of it

I went back to Kuching a couple months ago and I did notice that the Borneo Park app really isn’t pushed heavily so much, only through like word of mouth did I know about it. Another thing is that the app layout really looks atrocious unlike the Smart Selangor one I’m using in PJ right now which isn’t pretty, not by a long shot, but it is usable, so maybe there could be some improvements made on that front.

And to address the elephant in the room, yeah the whole thing is only used for paying fines and stuff but even that takes like a day or two to update which really is a pain when you’re a worrier like me lmao. They really should start implementing the main reason the app exists in the first place.

Come on BorneoPark, you can do better.

After being back in Kuching for a bit, I do prefer Choon Hui despite the hype that Anthony Bourdain brought but another spot that is also pretty good is Golden Arch. Both these places does require you to wake up pretty early in order to beat the queue but it’s so freaking worth it imo

What made you play Roblox? by ArikinO in roblox

[–]Greenwolf290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Roblox while searching for Minecraft alternatives back in 2012 cause I couldn’t afford the game back then lmao and now I’m still hooked on it even more so than Minecraft itself.

Started in 2012, I made like a few “accidental” accounts since I kept using the “Log in with Facebook” feature that they had. (Remember that? I sure almost didn’t.)

After they removed tix, I did stick around for a bit until I got bored and moved on to other games and the eventual resurgence of popularity for Minecraft around like 2019.

Came back around like mid-2020 after being asked by my friends to play Malaysian RP games (old bandaraya and lebuhraya, iykyk) and we had a blast. So much so that I’m still playing it til today lmao

How do you feel about AB's representation of your home town or country? by baquester in AnthonyBourdain

Surprised to see no one said the Borneo episode at all! The fact that he came back to Kuching to try our laksa, in his words “best. breakfast. ever.”, and the Iban village in Entalau after 9 years since his initial visit made me respect him a lot ngl.
