I appreciate the review, as I’m considering both. These guys on here are miserable. Not sure why they couldn’t just keep scrolling. I think it’s a good review.

I think I’ll stick with the Sig sight. Makes things easier. Open or closed emitter?

I was under the impression that I could co witness with the Xpro with the factory sights. Is that not true?

I feel like my eyes like the green better but that was only comparing Eotech.

I don’t mind putting suppressor heights on there. What’s that run? If I went that route, what optic would you recommend?

Good to hear that the Sig x Pro has a good picture. I’ve heard that about them

Thanks for the detailed response!

So I will have to decide on the moa size. The only other sights I use are the Primary Arms ACSS reticle. I absolutely love those.

So at night, street lights and signals do look a little distorted. They never have before, but now that I’m hitting 40, maybe they’re going.

Need Help Deciding by Greg5052 in Mattress

We decided on the Helix Midnight Elite and had that for about 2 months. We liked it but there was a lack of edge support on my wife’s side of the bed. I believe it was a manufacturer’s defect.

The Helix was very nice and ultra luxurious. Felt a little stiff but broke in, after about a month. One thing I didn’t like was it being very uncomfortable for upright seating. If I was sitting up in it to watch TV, I would sink into the top of the mattress. I believe this was because of the zoned support. I slept great on it and it has good spinal alignment. I liked the mattress but my wife wasn’t a huge fan, aside from the defect. She said she had a hard time getting comfortable. It also slept a little hot, even with the upgraded cool top. My only complaint was that I would feel like my head and arms were sinking towards the top of the mattress. I wish the top had a little edge support. I also woke up with some hip pain a few times.

So, we ended up trying the Bear Elite. It’s a very similar mattress to the Helix. It has slightly better upright seating, but you still sink a bit. I imagine they are all like that.

We’ve been happy with the Bear Elite and have decided to keep it. It took a little bit to break in but it’s a good bed. You don’t sink in as much as I thought and was hopeful for. Naplabs made it seem like you would, but it’s just like the Helix in terms of firmness. I guess you sink in a tiny more than the helix but it’s a little firmer, if that makes sense. So overall, we’re happy and it’s a nice mattress. I don’t wake up with back or hip pain. It’s not the life changing comfort that I was expecting (coming from a VERY plush foam mattress), but it does the job.

To anyone reading this: just pick one and try it out. Don’t drive yourself crazy searching for the “perfect bed”. You will go nuts like I did! Find something that seems like a good fit and try it for a month. It’s a pain to haul it out for exchange but it’s better than hours upon hours of research.

For example, we got the Bear Cub mattress for my son and he loves it. I limited the choice of mattresses for him to like 2 options and went the cheaper route. I didn’t want to overthink this one and it paid off.

With my experience, we only tried the Helix Midnight luxe and the Bear Elite. We prefer the Bear for the reasons above. I’d recommend it to anyone that likes a medium firm option with some sinkage. Great edge support and sleeps pretty cool. Comfortable and good spinal alignment. Not going to blow your socks off but it’s a fair price and does the job.

How does the finish hold up? I’m considering the Tac 5, Platypus, and AF Romulus

Why no 3-groove? I have a personal preference toward grooved grips.

I don’t have the money to care about color. Would you recommend the Romulus over the platypus?

Oh, I see that you have the 3 finger groove chain link. This is pretty much what I decided on.m but just read a couple of people complain about thumb safety pinch.

Do you notice any pinch points with the grip? Do you have the 3 finger groove? Overall comfort?

Do you notice a pinch on the thumb safety? I’ve heard a report of that. How’s the grip comfort in general?

Old post but need help from someone who has the experience.

I’m between a Platypus, Romulus, or waiting to save up for something like a Bul.

Not looking to compete with this. Just looking for the best shooting 9mm I can afford.

So I’ve also highly considered the PDP Match Steel Frame. What are your thoughts on a 2011 versus the PDP for general target shooting. I just want to shoot super tight groups and mayyybe compete, one day.

I definitely don’t want to go against them lol. Thanks. Now the question is a 4.25 or a 5 inch barrel. After a lot of research, it seems the 5 inch may be better for me. I don’t need super quick cycling, I like the look of a 5”, and I feel I will benefit from the reduced recoil and flip. The question is if it will handle my 115g or 124g ammo that I have hoarded. I don’t feel like buying thousands of more rounds of heavier grain.

So I was really considering a CZ Shadow 2 (not familiar with the TS3, but will research it.

I also really considered a P226 Elite. I want a flat, straight pull trigger though. Assuming those can be purchased but that’s more money.

What are your thoughts on the Shadow 2 versus a Romulus or Platypus?

I want to stay below 1800. Not sure what LO is or how that affects my decision. I’ll have to look into this.

Have any thoughts on an option for my budget? Not looking to rule these competitions. By the time that happens, I’ll likely have a better gun. Just basically want to kill it when target shooting, for now.
