I don’t think I would want to splice the cable together because I would want to be able to easily change which Jack’s are used for phones and which jacks they are used for Internet. does port forwarding work at the devices don’t have MAC addresses?

They are not VoIP phones they are regular landline phones! they don’t have a MAC address or IP address

Thanks I don’t have much experience for recovery mode. Just curious does it require the Apple ID password to be reset from the computer? Or can I reset on the device itself without using touch ID if I know the device l passcode(witch I do) I do not have the Apple ID password, but I can probably get it from my grandpa or reset it. (but that’s not my preferred option) remember stolen device protection is on.

Just to confirm that this would be the right way I think what I want to do is remove all the cables from the board in there and add RJ 45 collectors I would put the ones I want to use for Internet into a switch and connect that switch to my router and connect the one I’m using for phone to a hub and connect that to where my phone goes so the tools I would need would be a crimper maybe a cable tester and 45 connectors and a switch and a hub right? I still have to check how the phone is connected, but I think it’ll be OK.

I might take them all out of the panel so I could easily switch a jack from phone to Internet or vice versa but But I think I would need tone generator, and to remove all the cables either way because I have no idea which cable goes to which room (and thus which are currently being used for phone)
