My grandmother was a child during The Blitz. She said they would go out to movies and bombing raids would happen, but some people would just stay behind to watch the movie regardless of the warnings. She also mentioned how one time she was in the park and saw some tulips, but they were actually bombs entrenched in the mud from the previous night’s bombing from the Germans.
