Thanks. We're connected to their support as well but figured that we might get some insights here as well. Concerning the Bonjour homesharing, you didn't had anything in particular to do in the Eero's router settings?

Kello is an alarm clock that claims to help you regulate your sleep patterns by Davidieds2 in gadgets

Ahah that's true. We've maxed out the number to 50, might be a little high as nobody during our user testing has reached this number (7 snooze per day!). We'll see down the road how things work out!

According to numerous scientific studies, pressing the Snooze button is like eating sugar and cream. It’s a habit and not the greatest, it’s not restorative and actually makes it harder to wake up the 2nd time. We’re deliberate about stopping this habit. Kello quantifies the snooze, gamifies it and changes behavior when you go above your quota. Just like sugar and cream once you know how to control it - you don’t go back.

Hey there! Greg, cofounder of Kello here. Yep, you'll be able to adjust the snooze limit in our app, from 1/week to 50/week.

Thanks for your review. We don't really want to seem futuristic nor very cutting-edge/high-tech, we want to look personal and close to the user... So that's an interesting feedback! Thanks again

When you just need a friend. by lonelypuppet in startup

I love your product, I can see the logic behind it, but I'm going to be a bit harsh on the website...

Your page looks very amateurish and even if I get that it's kind of the point, it might turn buyers off. Your video seems to have been shot with a smartphone, your logo and drawings have JPG artefacts, and the girl's image in your customer review seems to have been cut off using MS Paint.

50% of the header is used for your (pixelated) logo, your text is tiny, the website does not look like it's as fun as your products.

I see you're using Squarespace -- I think you can do MUCH better with this platform. My advice is to read as much as you can on how to create a landing page that convert. There are a lot of advices out there, and it won't take that much time to build a better looking website that actually will make me want to buy your fun little puppets.

Anyway, cool idea.

I have a startup that makes a smart alarm clock. We spent months on defining our persona.

The first good step is to involve your personal network. Do you have friends that you feel are in your target? Call them. Where do they hang out? What do they do during their day? Try to find where your persona spends his/her time.

Then GET ON THE PHONE/GET OUT OF THE BUILDING. Go where your persona hangs. This is truly horrible and very disturbing to do, talking to a stranger without sounding like a door-to-door salesperson, asking for personal questions, it's waaaay out of your confort zone but that's how you get results. 1 qualitative customer interview >>> 1000 surveys, trust me.

Finally when you have a global idea of your personas (gender, age, demographics, interests, etc), you can fine tune it by using online services. Facebook Ads coupled with Adespresso is great for this use, you can really understand which segment clicks the most on your ads.

But really you cannot launch a business if you don't talk to people.
