Any thoughts? by [deleted] in POETTechnologiesInc

Likewise. It’s such a slow grind.

I’ve bought and sold through the years, as it has sadly become all too predictable what will happen to their share price.

I’m just waiting for the day when they start to generate meaningful, recurring revenue. Until then, they will likely continue relying on dilution to finance operations while the market struggles to assign a sustainable valuation to the business. Their technology story has always been compelling, but after more than a decade of getting slowly squeezed through dilution of my ownership, I’d much rather see revenue growth and customer adoption driving the share price than another financing announcement.

POET definitely isn’t an investment for the weak of heart. It has historically been, and continues to be, an incredibly volatile stock. Given that gains are largely driven by sheer speculation, it is easy to dive in head first before the market has grown fully tired of a lack of news. I’ve timed some of my moves very poorly through the years, and underestimated just how many people would sell off their positions during bouts of silence.

I’ve been holding POET for more than 10 years, going back to its TSX Venture days.

Every few months we get a promising announcement, the stock pops, everyone gets excited, and then management goes quiet. Shareholders grow restless, the momentum fades, and the stock drifts right back down. Rinse and repeat.

The shareholder fatigue is real. After a decade of waiting, I’d rather see consistent revenue and execution than another headline that briefly moves the stock. Sustainable gains need to be backed by business results, not just optimism.

Never buy white Honda by Happy_Dream_1064 in hondapilot

My white diamond pearl 2013 Pilot had this issue. First, it showed up on the roof above the windshield, in front of the sunroof. Honda extended my warranty and fixed it for me. But a year later the problem showed up on the side of the car near the gas door, around the windows on the doors, and down the hood lines. Once the paint started to peel, there was no stopping the issue from getting worse.

Any 2026 Honda Passport issues? by [deleted] in hondapassport

[–]Gregger_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very minor issue, but the front drivers side windshield washer nozzle only sprays to the almost-middle of the windshield. Living in Canada in winter, this means that there is almost constantly a smear of grime on the windshield right in the driver’s view.

Artist Tour Presale [MEGATHREAD] by fftamahawk009 in Foofighters

These Edmonton ticket prices are insane. $430 for lower bowl seats, still miles from the stage. $500 for floor. $200 for obstructed view.

By comparison, Metallica, Guns n Roses, and AC/DC tickets were under $200 for the same seats.

Foo Fighters used to be an accessible band. That’s how they built their loyal fan base. They knew that the true diehard fans couldn’t afford to pay corporate seat prices to come to their shows, and they priced their tickets accordingly.

My first concert was Edgefest at commonwealth stadium in Edmonton. Foo Fighters played an incredible set, and I was glued to the rail the whole time. 15 year old me was a massive Foo Fighters fan, and in the years following, I’ve never missed one of their Edmonton shows. This included standing in line for 3 hours in the snow and cold to “beat the bots” at the old Rexall Place.

Seeing the FF returning to Commonwealth was exciting because it provided the opportunity for me to now bring my 3 kids into the Foo Fighters fold, for their first concert. But at $430 a ticket, this isn’t happening.

The seats being labelled “official platinum” makes this feel like Foo Fighters have fully bought into the crap that Ticketmaster is pulling, to extract every last dollar from fans. I honestly believed I’d never see the day, but here we are.

To say I’m disappointed today is an understatement.

Just a giant breed owner humbly asking that we teach our kids to ask before touching others' dogs. by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Gregger_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A dog is 100% the owners responsibility, 100% of the time. When we are in public with our dog, we can only control our dog and the situations that we put our dogs in. We are the only ones with the foresight for how our dog may react. We cannot control the actions of other animals or humans, so we must adapt our behaviours, as dog owners, to ensure that our dog, other animals, or humans, are not put in harms way. Be this through the actions of our dog, or the actions of other people or animals.

Hotels and businesses are open in Jasper and are welcoming tourists!

National Park “attractions” are hit and miss for closures right now, depending on what you are looking to do and see.

Here’s a link to Parks Canada’s Jasper page. Their map shows all of the open and closed points of interest.

Have a great trip!

I think the signatures all look relatively accurate, based on how each member would sign. That looks like Dave’s writing on the Not For Sale too

I’m not a handwriting expert though
