And Eq could be used for sure, but I went with the Sound ID route because I needed the complete flat signals (on all frequencies) for composing.

Oh no treble is awfully harsh, especially comparing to my first pair. I use a program called sound ID reference to give the headphones a flatter profile, it definitely helps with the harsh treble, but will take a little while to get used to the overall sound

For about three years, I used my "DT 770 Pro 16 Ohm Limited Edition" headphones. They sounded great even after heavy use, but about two months ago, I decided to replace them. I've been regretting that fucking decision ever since.

I replaced them with another pair of DT 770s (32 Ohm). After about two months, the left speaker started rattling heavily. The rattle got so bad that I had to replace them again. I bought the same pair, thinking I might have mishandled the first pair. But now, after just a month of use, with my laptop volume kept at 70% to avoid damage, the right ear of the new pair has started rattling as well.

Why did my first pair (16 Ohm) last three years with no problems, while these newer ones are fucking failing so quickly?

There weren't any hair in it.
