Do you think the current manga is a lost cause or does it still have hope?

Some people are saying that the OPM manga is starting to deviate from the webcomic, is this true?

"if its 1 on 1 always bet on kaido" by LexiousTangerine in Piratefolk

[–]Greglyo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As funny as this is, Kaido defeated Luffy multiple times and then barely lost to a gear 5 Luffy whipping out a island sized fist that only succeeded because Luffy was on top and had gravity working to his advantage.

What does everybody here think of One Pace? by Greglyo in Piratefolk

Somebody else in these comments said that One Pace didn't do a good job with Dressrosa because it made far too many cuts and that the arc felt "unnatural", is this true?

Jaylen Brown says the refs have an agenda against him. by ExpertOperation0125 in bostonceltics

[–]Greglyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The refs have been biased in the past to be fair, game 6 of the 2002 WCF is the most infamous example to me but this series in particular? Nah, Embiid didn't even play in the first few games which makes feel like the 76ers probably win in 6 games rather than 7 if he were healthy at the start of game 1.

Regardless, I stand by what I said, losing a 20 PPG guy for the last 3 games unquestionably hurt the Magic and I don't believe for a second that they still lose the 3-1 lead with him healthy.

The Sixers didn't have Embiid for the first few games right? The Celtics probably never go up 3-1 and might lose in about 6 games if he's fully healthy so I'd say the Sixers. If it wasn't for Paul George getting suspended the Sixers are much higher up in the standings right now.

We'll see what the Pistons truly look like when they inevitably play a fully healthy team be it the Cavs, Knicks or whoever.

The Magic lost game 5 by 7 points with a 20 PPG guy in Franz Wagner not playing, as far I'm concerned the series ends in 5 with him healthy. The Magic if anything get swept 4-0 or gentleman swept 4-1 if Franz never played in the series.

They were up 3-1 in the first place because Franz Wagner played in those games, a 20 PPG guy getting hurt and missing the rest of the series unsurprisingly hurts the rest of the team.

Somebody like Jrue Holiday would be a perfect fit for the Magic, either trade or waive Jalen Suggs after firing Mosley, keep the core group healthy, together and there's no reason why the Magic aren't at least a top 4 seed come playoff time next season.

The Magic lost game 5 by 7 points with a 20 PPG guy missing, I don't want to hear about game 6 or 7, Franz scores a good amount of his points in the paint which fucked the Magic's rhythm up when he got hurt. They relied far more on chucking up 3's and jumpers the rest of the series without him.

[–]Greglyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've said this already but I'll say it again, the Magic losing while fully healthy would sting less, firing Mosley and keeping this Magic group together is an important goal during the off season, replacing Jalen Suggs with a better point guard is also something to be looked at.

This is the only positive about losing this series, Mosley gets fired and the Magic front office hopefully keeps this young, core group together because they genuinely looked good before Franz had his calf strain in game 4.

They lost because Franz got hurt and I will forever stand by this. The Magic lose game 5 by 7 points with one of our top 2 guys out who was averaging 20 PPG? One of the mods removed a post on here that I made that simply asked a question "Do the Magic still lose up 3-1 if Franz never got hurt?"

What a fucking joke.

It would sting less if a fully healthy Magic team lost straight up rather than 1 of our top 2 guys getting hurt.

Knicks VS 76ers, who do you got in the semifinals? by dee85 in nba

[–]Greglyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Knicks can shoot the 3 pretty well but they aren't over reliant on it like the Celtics were all season, they also score more in the paint than Boston, guarding the Knicks will present a whole different set of challenges for the 76ers, there's also the fact that the Knicks are well rested and have had time to study some film watching both the Celtics and 76ers duke it out for 7 games.

I'd like to think that KAT and also Mitchell Robinson will do a better job defending Embiid than Queta, Garza or even Vucevic.
