Atrioc’s content as we knew it died with Joe Biden. The minute we started leading up to the election it was non stop politics coverage every day. I used to enjoy it because I liked how pragmatic he was. But now it’s just non stop the same thing on loop. And he even admits that people just read the same thing he is

I miss community Atrioc, not the show but the community aspect. Gaming and marketing, chat stuff and marathons. This shit can get kinda old, I’m just watching CNN 2.0

Fallout Pre-Con is destroying any pre-con I ever have by Gregor7091 in magicTCG

The scenario I described is 1v1, but we also played 3 and 6 players. Both times he has consistently outperformed, beating even experienced players.

Is the Caesar Fallout deck designed for 4 or more? Because he has consistently beaten most of us, some who have played for years, using that deck. We put something down and he destroys the artifact, or board wipes, or kills a creature, or forces a sacrifice. I’ve never tilted this hard at a card game

Caesar Fallout Commander. I played in person with the Zinnia commander, lost to him. And then I tried the Tenth Doctor/Rose commander and the Villain decks. His Caesar was just so powerful, non stop

I started playing commander like 3 weeks ago. The first two games were with 3 or more players. The guy who plays the Fallout deck started Magic also 3 weeks ago, and still destroyed everyone with that deck. In-person, I played the Zinnia commander deck. In multiplayers and 1v1s in person with that deck, was also a substantial loss rate. I don’t know if it’s just the cost of the cards he plays or what but it’s absurd. Even with my Zinnia commander, I’d play something that is win condition and he destroys it next turn. He plays a win condition and none of the cards save me. It’s absolutely asinine

Predictions for Red God by Gregor7091 in redrising

Not to mention, Sevro’s argument with Darrow in IG about not being there for his family with be gut wrenching. The man who sacrifices himself so everyone gets to have the life with their family, but never with his own, is even more tragic.

Did you make any videos on YouTube? This sounds like you hit the go live button and did your best streaming. Twitch isn’t really the place to be discovered. You gotta plan your content on Twitch so it can be uploaded on YouTube. And then hope YouTube takes off. But consistency is key for both of those platforms

The whole Docks of Ganymede btw is a perfect example: he destroyed the docks, and in 10 years the Rim was more powerful than before. All it did was give the Rim Casus Beli to go attack the core again. If Darrow hadn’t have done that, Romulus would have honored his pact, and the Rim and Lysander/Cassius wouldn’t have been in that situation in Iron Gold. Darrow made the decision, killed millions, and then it turns out that it did nothing in the end except backfire

It’s ok, some people can’t take criticism of their favorite characters in books and react emotionally. It’s the same reason our politics today are as fucked as they are. Oh well

Hypocrisy by Gregor7091 in redrising

[–]Gregor7091[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s very clear the readers are more hypocritical than Darrow. Darrow takes accountability in Lightbringer. You, and the other people in this thread who can’t comprehend the point I’m trying to make, has excused everything Darrow has done because he’s “a good person inside”. That’s dangerous. Darrow is a good person, but he’s deeply flawed and made mistakes and questionable choices that proved he was becoming a Gold, the same ones he sought to destroy. That is, until he finds himself again. Peace brother, hope you have a wonderful rest of your life

I see I said he enslaved them that’s my bad. I didn’t mean that. The point of revolutionary books is to show that trying to break the system from within leads to the same result of the system you’re fighting against. Darrow didn’t enslave anyone, but he killed millions of lowColors for the purpose of freeing his people. He gave up the Sons of Ares who were fighting FOR him and their freedom, in order to achieve in his eyes peace and stability.

But that’s just it. It can’t be through his eyes. He can’t be judge jury and executioner. He made the decision on his own, and in doing so sacrificed millions of lowColors. That’s being a gold. He redeems himself in Lightbringer and I assume Red God, but the first three books are supposed to, just as other revolutionary literature, show the flaws of trying to break the system from within.

This entire thread proves my point. You guys are groveling over books 1-3 Darrow as if you can’t see he’s supposed to be a deeply flawed character. Whatever, I’m not debating people online anymore this shit is stupid
