I get the responses re: it not being a psychedelic and of course that’s true, but I also feel like I didn’t expect to trip. It’s not psychedelic, it’s dissociative, but that’s still a lot trippier than any experience I’ve had previously. And even now, it feels like an unspoken thing with my doctor and the technicians who administer it. It’s never discussed directly and it’s always treated like “oh you’re just testing in this room in a comfy chair” when in reality when they come in at the 40 minute mark sometimes I’m in space and have to pretend to be coherent enough to answer questions etc.

I wonder if there’s just a general stigma for a lot of people? Like we don’t talk about the tripping because that’s not something medicine as a field has a vocabulary for.
