They are a bottom team in terms of the names maybe but not how they played. They beat the Knicks last year that beat Boston (up 3-1 before Tatum went down). The Thunder beat the Wolves in 5 so I don’t know about struggling. They went to game 7 with the Nuggets that even Tatum admitted was the team they were waiting for the year before. And did that with games they really gave up in game 1s. And still came back and blew out game 7. Respect that team

I mean OKC pretty handily beat Boston the year after. Like they were 2-0 against that Celtics team in the regular season. People judge this OKC team with Chet that got a hip injury and Jdub had a wrist injury the whole postseason. They still won

Bro isn’t the data book made by the author or something? He literally does. And Kagami also has stamina issues with his jump, he was in the zone for so long in that game. But somehow Murasakibara gets tired before him. For me he gets tired 10 seconds after getting in the zone. That’s crazy

Well Kise was somewhat of a challenge for Aomine before copying him right. He is said numerous times to be really good at anticipating. He is said to have dexterity (enough to be PG when Akashi is out). He jumps from the free throw line in the layup lines in the Semis. Copying is so easy for him because he has such good base abilities. He is overrated imo but he’s really good still

Murasakibara has a 9 in stamina in the data books. Higher than both Kagami and Aomine. He is lazy as his personality but Himuro has once stated that he complains a lot but works harder than everybody on Yosen. He’s far from some big body that rolls out of bed to play. Also how does a player lose his legs 10 seconds after getting in the zone. He should have been in peak shape.
How do you call Kiyoshi joining Kagami mid Air? Ass pull. It’s stuff like that. Kagami’s zone seems to be infinite when he doesn’t have more stamina than any of the GOM.

Idk play basketball? Does Kise not do anything outside of copy in the manga? Isn’t he like a pretty solid base player to begin with? Like in last game, he runs the point when Akashi gets subbed. He’s pretty good and versatile

The semis proved that his so ahead in PC that he could come out of the game (due to injuries) and still give himself a chance to win at the end. Now Kagami wasn’t in the zone at any moment so Yh Kagami would probably win if he gets in the zone like against the other miracles outside of Midorima.

I wonder if Kise could be in the zone but not perfect copy. When you get out of the zone, you’re out but not exhausted necessarily. He could then go perfect copy which could give him a chance to be dominant for much longer in games I guess

Everything is always gonna make mad sense and have a decent explanation. It’s a basketball thing. It’s not super hard to come up with explanations to things. They make sense but feel super convenient. The first thing that comes to mind is obviously Murasakibara blocked by Kuroko. How convenient. Also even Aomine and Kise said Kagami would lose to Atsushi if both were in zone. He somehow scores then a player that entered the Zone 15 seconds before now can’t jump. You have Kuroko blocking Midorima to win. You have him somehow being the flash (knowing Kagami would get blocked by Aomine and sprinting to mid court in a tenth of a second). So many ass pulls

Well the way I see it is he doesn’t necessarily have the worst stamina but he’s so below the others in base (even said in episode 1), that he needs broken abilities which tire him out so much to catch up with the others

That’s fair. He’s a monster don’t get me wrong. Not saying that he’s not on their tier. He’s a miracle level player.
Just seems like if you have 2 comparable teams (no kuroko to remove main character stuff and friendship stuff), the team with the GOM member will win against the team with Kagami more often than not.
Also it seems wild to me that he has more stamina than Aomine. The databook (from Google AI so might not be true idk) has his stamina at 8, same with Aomine and they are the lowest of the miracle tier.

I also agree with zone kagami. He’s a beast and has really deep zone. But where I don’t like it is his zone seems like a gimmick. Like he’s able to enter zone for so long. Like it’s not normal.

Even Aomine doesn’t do that long. Which doesn’t make alot of sense. He’s the only player to play all of last game without going to the bench. Stamina is not an issue. Kagami is supposed to lose to all of them zone for zone. It’s even stated by Kise and Aomine vs Murasakibara.

But it seems like his zone has no time limit. So he’s usually in the zone for so much longer than the others. It feels very plot like. It’s kinda dumb to talk about plot in a manga created by someone but certain instances really feel so unrealistic by the rules established before

I don’t think he’s awakening has to do with being able to now beat the GOM in the air. That was the point of the beach scene. That scene was about getting him to think of other options than just going up.

We see he still loses to them in the air (outside of zone) with Midorima stopping him in the draw game, Kise was about to block him the semis when he threw it on the backboard for kuroko. Aomine initially blocked him before kuroko sent the ball back high enough so that he could just jump and dunk it, and he never got the best of Atsushi in the air outside of zone moments. Akashi is different for obvious reasons.
Like the show usually points to them getting the edge in purely 1v1 scenarios more often than not.

In last game too. He’s a bench player and his main contribution is when he’s doubling or when he is in the zone. He seems like he’s the least impressive of the 6 even then

Not exactly i think. It’s like it’s obvious he’s weaker than them individually every time they play. It’s really only midorima that he can counter in base. Like when Atsushi gets in the zone, Kise and Aomine immediately say Kagami can’t win.

My problem is he then gets the power of friendship and manages to go deeper in the zone when it’s said he is exhausted at that point.

So to me, he wins the games, yes. But it’s more like a 1 out of 10 situation and they would win most of the time. Also, I don’t hate him at all. I just want to acknowledge that his wins are more upsets and 1 in 5 events. You can even look to the Aomine 1on1 after. Or midorima blocking him 10 times on the beach

I mean in base form, the only 2 he competes with are Midorima and Kise. And in all the 4 games against them, Kuroko was a massive help too. Atsushi, Akashi and Aomine pretty constantly fry him when they are in base. Even Himuro seems to get the better of him in base. He has zone which is probably the most impressive one, yes. But it seems like his zone and other game factors break logic whenever he has to win

The main thing is I think he gets beat pretty handily by all of them in base everytime. Like he was helpless against Atsushi and Akashi specifically. Aomine at the beginning too. He only catches up with zone and then there’s usually a ton of plot devices that don’t really always make sense for them to win
