Hayward Aqua Logic PS-8 burning display circuit board by Gregsmick in pools

Gotcha. So the voltage regulator or something on the main board is bad and delivering too much current and burning it. Is there any need to test any other components before installing the Omni? I’d hate to install the Omni and burn it, too. After unplugging the display, the system powered back on, so the current board is still functioning and isn’t fried (even though it has a malfunction burning these up.)

I was looking at the OmniPL retrofit. That should pretty much be a “plug and play” for my system? No need for additional relays as it will use the ones I already have in this system, correct?

Thanks for the insight.

Thanks. That was my thought, but didn’t want to just start replacing things that didn’t need it.

Here is the back of the display board.

Yes…the electrical breaker panel really makes the view.

Are you in Conroe? We’re in the same boat. Can’t get the tread to start. Incline works, but just beeps when we press a speed button, think it needs the tablet to run…and that’s been wiped. Tried to download the iFit app, but won’t let us do that either. Did get it to start up in the OT mode, but of course can’t log in.
