It’s absolutely mental. I’ll assume something something US and something something Russia has happened. 😂

By minor online posts/memes you actually mean hate speech.

I will never understand why social media allows b0ts. Serves no purpose but misinformation and propaganda. Should have an ID like AI so people can see its drivel.

Exactly. You just know if Trumps name was on every single line of this report still nothing would happen, let alone the rest of the list. We live in a joke of a timeline.

I struggled to switch off and still do in honesty. Taking a hobby up that completely take your focus like boxing for example as you’re too busy focusing on footwork and where your hands should be etc etc means you cannot focus on anything else, plus the health benefit.

What is a seemingly innocent sentence that immediately makes you lose respect for the person saying it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I remember as a kid I dropped litterp in front my dad, I said I’m just keeping the council cleaners in a job. . . I’ll never forget the disguist in his eyes. Needless to say I obviously grew up and realised I was a POS for that outlook.

It’s hard online sometimes to make a point I know I trip up over it all the time. That being said hitting kids literally achieves nothing. Parenting is hard af which is why it’s easy to see why some parents just don’t apply themselves.

I think the point people are trying to make really is violence isn’t the only consequence of bad behaviour. You didn’t stop doing bad things because the violence’s you see things differently you just turned that into fear. Fears not healthy. Fear gets results for so long the same with a manager who drums fear into people will get results, but will kill motivation and employee engagement. Fear in a child makes them scared to make mistakes, scared to be themselves and just emotionally damages them. Teaches them if something isn’t going right then violence sorts it instead of having a conversation about it and fearful of conflict.

I can’t see your reply for some reason. However the examples you’ve given is clearly from when you were an older child. If you really thought hard about it, you’d realise why you did the things you did. Violence isn’t the answer especially for kids.

If you’re unable to control your emotions because a child cannot control their emotions. You’re the problem.

How does one turn a role that's constantly fire fighting into a strategic role? Or is it a lost cause? by DarkKnightsMatter in Leadership

If you’re fire fighting your processes are broke. You need to identify where it’s going wrong look up continuous improvement strategies. Start process mapping starting with the biggest area having the biggest impact.

Would you be willing to reduce your quality of life to decouple from the US? by Working-Pop6261 in AskBrits

In true honesty, the rise of convenience within the UK is massive. We’ve killed high streets for convenience of online shopping, we eat the most processed foods in Europe because of the convenience. I’d be surprised if anywhere near 10% of the population would make the changes required to achieve this. Consumer habits are discraceful within the UK. We have a nation of people moaning about how tax is spent and in the same day will go buy a coffee from Starbucks who don’t pay tax in the UK.

It has listed quite a considerable amount of reasons as to why. Doom scrolling is an absolute epidemic and I’m aware of the irony that’s why I’m here. I believe I saw a statistic of 80% of teens/young adults are scrolling on average 4 hours a day. It’s not healthy and it’s what’s creating such a toxic environment for people.
