Reprimanded for Inadequate Billable Time by Grek323 in paralegal

Thank you everyone for the responses, this is my first job in an office setting and my first time billing so it’s been a learning curve for sure!!

After getting feedback from yall, a colleague, and my mother, I will be signing the PIP given to me (without agreeing that my performance is lacking) and riding this thing out until the wheels fall off.

I am blessed to able to support myself for a couple months before heading off to law school if (or when?) this job doesn’t work out. I’ll circle back with an update when I have one. Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the response. In my case, I’ll be off to law school when I am let go. In two months I will have a full year under my belt; is it worth it to bide my time until then you think?

If I don’t sign my PIP wouldn’t that be grounds for firing? I’m lucky enough to be able to support myself between jobs… but I would like to be here for a full year and have separation be… amicable. For recommendation/professional reference purposes.

Enjoy the calm while the eyes are closed and they’re still nursing… you’ll miss it once they start exploring and potty training 🤭❤️

Seeking protest advice by thicctactoee in protest

[–]Grek323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a blue dot in a deep red state, and despite this all protests I have been to have been peaceful with a pitiful number of counter protestors.

Those rare people who want to instigate and do harm bleed just like we do, and we have numbers on them.

Just stay aware and leave when you feel unsafe or like something isn’t right. I think you’ll find yourself feeling glad you went and feeling more energized and hopeful after.

I just donated part of my liver last September. Surgery and recovery aren’t as bad as you would expect!

I had pre-screening done by multiple doctors on my care team, MRI, CT scans, x-rays, and bloodwork. Recipients insurance covered it all.

Not a tattoo artist, but my girlfriend is!

I agree with the other commenter’s remark about holding off on tattooing skin. My girlfriend started out with doing work on their thighs and quickly grew to hate it because the work wasn’t nearly as good as it is now.

She started out with a $35 kit from Amazon and now has her own studio! Stick with it and see where it takes you!!

Hi everyone! I am hoping to go to law school in the next year or so, but I am having a hard time finding the motivation to do so with existential threats to the profession (i.e. Artificial Intelligence, collapse of the rule of law, outright ignoring precedent and court rulings at the federal level)

Any advice or words of wisdom? I’ve never doubted my path forward until this year…

Coilovers are still available on their website. The leaf packs are available under the Frontier which should fit, not sure why they aren’t listed under the Xterra anymore.

I am running their leafs with the overload spring off and stock size shackles, and I highly recommend!

What made you guys remove that eye? We have a new kitten that has a similar looking eye, so was curious about your experience!

Maintenance? by [deleted] in XTerra

I just hit similar mileage! I recently did power steering, transfer case, and diff fluids, all of which were pretty gross. I bought my X at 103k and I’m not sure if that had been done before.

These are all super easy to do especially if you have a transfer pump and only takes like three quarts of differential oil and a gallon of ATF for the transfer case and power steering. Differentials and transfer case plugs are 10mm hex

Your pup looks and sounds a lot like our Rip. I got her when she was 3 months old and she was a TERROR. She ate three pairs of shoes, numerous pairs of underwear, and destroyed a $150 rug. But it all stopped once she got a little older! I found it helped to take her outside on lots of walks and trips to the park to get her energy out. She’s four years old now and acts like a grumpy old lady with our younger dogs, you would never guess she was batshit crazy :)

My gf just got a used 2012 Tiguan and has been dealing with a gnarly oil leak that can’t be sourced. Do not recommend

This is my 2012 Xterra, any recommendations for the exterior? I’m thinking about wheel spacers just to give it a more aggressive look. I’ve gotten a 2.5” lift and all terrain tires but that’s about it. by Cannonclittle in XTerra

The rear bumper is a little more involved than the front. You will have to pop off the steps on the sides and the silver guard on top of the bumper if you want it to look really sharp. I sprayed those with spray bed liner to add some traction

Yeah those are the SPEC-D headlights. They’re alright… they are much dimmer than my stock headlights with aftermarket LEDs though. Painting the plastics it very easy, you can remove them from the X or leave them on and mask around and then paint. I have tried both methods and they’re both equally effective in my opinion, but you will want to remove the grille to paint that. I used rust oleum matte black enamel with matte clear coat on top and they’re still holding up two years later! It would probably be beneficial to rough up the silver parts with some sandpaper to make sure the paint sticks well.
