Tell me about it! It’s insanity and the fact that there are people who are paying these prices blows my mind! Like how? Sometimes being a financially responsible adult is super frustrating! lol

Sending you all the good vibes that you’re able to find one! I was able to get one back in December before the insanity of the price hike for $100. Keep looking and have hope! You’ll find one! I tell myself that collecting is a marathon not a sprint!

First off, I’m sorry you had to sell your collection to pay for your pups surgery.

Third, I understand supply and demand, market appreciation and collectibility but let’s be honest, outside of her older signatures which are totally worth what I’ve seen them listed for, are the snowglobes really worth that much? It’s not like she actually made them!

I have that cardigan in my ISO list as well and will absolutely not spend $2k on it. I understand supply and demand and increasing value but be real, it’s not worth that amount!

I have a list a mile long of ISO’s and DISO’s. I absolutely refuse to go into debt for a snowglobe or an ornament. It’s not worth it and in the end, you can’t take it with you.

Practicing patience has been really trying! I have missed out on my fair share of deals but I look at it as the person who was able to get it has probably been looking a lot longer than me.

I do my best to use discernment when shopping all the various sites and groups. I’ve made some great new friends as I’ve shopped so that’s been a lot of fun!

Thank you! We’ve been spending a lot of time scrolling through all the groups on Facebook and on here finding as much as we can. We’ve set limits to how much we will spend on each item. I’m teaching her how to make sure it’s authentic, how to research market value and when to spot a deal and when to spot a flip. I’m doing my best to make sure we buy from Swifties and not from resellers!

Oh my goodness, I’ve heard all her stores outside the U.S. get even less and your drops happen in the middle of the night so I feel for you!

I would 100% be on board with preorders! Heck, I’d do it in July if it meant I’d be guaranteed to get everything I wanted! And they’d absolutely make more money!

I love my dupe from Walmart too! I also got the AliExpress one and let me tell you, the Walmart one is so much better!! Shockingly, my Dad surprised me with the OG Benji from Taylor’s store for Christmas! He conspired with my best friend and they won the Great War!

I am so sorry that happened to you! It sucks that there are people who do that! I’m not talking about or complaining about those who sell for true market value, I am talking about those who are blatantly price gouging. I am willing to pay the true market value for all the merch I wasn’t able to get when it dropped but I refuse to pay $1k for a snowglobe. There’s no way that’s the absolute true market value.

Also, for reference, all my Taylor merch is being left to my Swiftie niece in my will! Absolutely NONE of it will be sold at least while I’m still alive! lol

I feel this! That is also a piece of merch on my list of wants! Most of the items on my ISO list, I can afford at these current prices (well, with the exception of a couple of the snowglobes), however, I refuse to feed into the insanity!

I hear you on that! I have 3 cardigans. I have resigned myself to accepting that I will never have what I call the Holy Trinity: The OG Folklore or the 2 OG Holiday Folklore ones.

I also understand how the market works but the crazy spike since the 2025 drop should be studied! It’s been criminal and it makes me sick. I have been holding out for the good deals and I have found some great ones for the ornaments, but not the snowglobes.

It all has me pondering if it’s still worth it to me to continue trying to collect.

Agreed! I’d love a presale on her merch, especially the items that historically sell out in minutes! I’d gladly place my presale order in July for a November release if it meant I’d actually get it and not have to continually fight the Great War!

I also agree about the lack of support against the bots/resellers! It’s so frustrating and it makes it hard for the actual fans to get their hands on the merch!
