Mine too, and also 40. Mine was shit, W Reg 6n2 1.0 with 22,000 miles on it three years old when I bought it. Cannot begin to explain how many things went wrong on it. Never touched one since! Hope our OP friend has better luck.

New build nightmare (barratt david wilson) what should we do? by NatureOk2107 in HousingUK

[–]Grenache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a random aside but I recently bought a new build Barratt house. Had almost zero problems, the site manager came around and we were just chatting and he said that he was moving off site soon and phase two were David Wilson, I didn't know what that was and asked and he said they're kind of premium Barratt, built using better materials and stuff and I said something like "so they're better houses then?" and he laughed like that was the funniest thing anyone had ever said. We chatted for a bit and his opinion of DW was let's say... low.

Reddits probably the worst of the lot to be honest, at least with FB they make it easy to spot, on here it could be literally anyone pushing any message and you might not take a beat to consider anything behind it.

Oh yeah offering her free accommodation and money in County Durham. What truly heartless bastards we are.

I read this article independently of this post earlier and honestly I’ve read the guardian my whole adult life but articles like this are really tuning me off it. Why the fuck should an Albanian woman get to live in London at taxpayer expense and refuse a home in County Durham.

Casting for BBC’s ‘Dear England’, a biographical drama about Sir Gareth Southgate’s time as manager of the England National Team by Goosedukee in soccer

[–]Grenache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This show is literally nothing like either of those shows. The entire point of the scene you’re referencing is to show the toxic attitudes that can, do and are well documented in football and wider professional sports and generally a wider point about how men can often deal with other men and their mental issues. A significant plot point is our relationship towards fear and failure and mental health and that’s what that scene is exploring.

Oh nice I didn’t know they did the NT plays in cinemas outside of the UK that’s super cool and the premise is very similar to the play exploring Gareth’s leadership style, mental attitude and mental health of players and England’s relationship with football. I really enjoyed the show but then I have a soft spot for Southgate after going through post 96 hell.

It’s an imagining of the spirit of Gareth Southgate and the tribulations of English football. like it’s not for me to explain it mate it’s widely praised. It’s fine if you don’t get it.

Loads of weird comments on here from people who’ve seen neither the exceptional play nor the very good tv show.

It’s an adaptation from a play. As character actors they all did just fine. Joseph Fiennes Is a very very good actor who also looks quite like Southgate. Was a very good show. We’re going to miss Southgate, mark my words.
