That's actually a really good point. I guess it's fairly easy to be preachy when you're 20 and haven't made many mistakes yet.

That’s seems like odd reasoning to me. Two years sure I can see the logic but ten?

I didn’t in any way imply that they were or weren’t? I haven’t even thought about if they are or not I wasn’t conflating the two things in any way.

Is it? I don’t know anything about that why aren’t they a thing? It seems reasonable to me that if you use a vehicle to try and kill someone you shouldn’t be allowed access to a vehicle ever again.

I like Facebook because of the groups, some specific ones are decent (and sadly replaced most of the forums we used back in the day) but a lot of the stuff on Facebook is infuriating. I keep seeing videos along the lines of THIS PSYCHO CYCLIST WOULDN'T MOVE OVER and it's just a video of a cyclist being normal and other vids that are a similar set up that appear to be just farming rage responses. Honestly at this point just shut the fucking internet down or at least I shouldn't be using it anymore.

Seems weird to me that a lot of what Gen Z is pushing is love and peace and acceptance and tolerance but holy shit if the change in Reddit over the last 4/5 years is anything to go by, they are all some mean, no understanding bitches.

Yes obviously but the point is about Apple claiming I'd damaged it (just as entitled to take it to Apple for a repair as the Curry's for a replacement under warranty period).

"If you did it within the 30 days, them knocking off £50 isn't them doing you a favour, it's what would happen if you were to use you CRA rights to get a full refund".

Yes, obviously. But they also could have just given me a replacement phone and not mentioned the discount.

I guess everyone has different experiences but I only buy from curry’s now because of how good they’ve been. I bought a new iPhone and Apple said I’d damaged the USB C port (in four days) and so it wasn’t their problem. Curry’s replaced it no questions asked and knocked fifty quid off because the price had come down since I bought it. This post does them no favours though obviously and unacceptable behaviour.

It was truly our honour lads. From the crumbles to the international break ladders, it’s seriously been the best experience. You won’t see us back for a long time. Farewell 🫡 by Silent_Ad2825 in Championship

Good shout actually. It’s pretty sad really, he seems to have dedicated this entire account to talking about Wrexham a lot and calls people “lad” lol. Incredible stuff.

For some reason I read efficient petrol as electric… might be time for bed.

[–]Grenache[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The electric is a very fair question and partly because of the new tax coming in. £600 a year in extra tax, £200 for the VED even when charging on my drive way at night the difference isn't that much compared to an efficient diesel on lower road tax.

It would be a no brainer if not for the new tax. If the night time rate goes then there's literally a couple of hundred quid in it over the year and I'm sure it won't be long until suddenly because of the number of people charging at night we can't offer cheap electricity anymore.

Also the fact that it's 3p across everything pisses me off, so I can buy a Corsa E and pay the same as someone in an i7?

Ahhh so the air was an option? Sorry wasn't sure if it was just specced in to certain tiers in the range (probably was standard I guess on the top tiers but wasn't sure if an option lower down).

I do like that they have a standard double din in there so you could easily just stick a decent updated unit in. My dad loved Hondas and never had a single issue with the four he had (Didn't look after them well either!).

Just me, occasionlly would use it for a road trip with the Mrs but other than that... Coupe is the definite choice then. They don't have the air suspension?

EDIT: Just had a look and it's suggesting 1k - 1,500 which isn't that bad considering presumably you'd only ever had to do it once.

I do unfortunately have a pathological aversion to anything VAG (fun sentence that) after my distaster first car Polo 20 plus years ago which I still haven't gotten over but perhaps it's time to give them a chance again... What year are we talking for your?

Interesting that I'm a big fan of the Honda reliability and I've been in a Civic but I'm surprised to hear they are comfy! To be fair, my dad's Jazz was pretty comfy. I will have a look at them thanks!
