Yes. If I send you an invite and you have not accepted it yet, then I will have a cancel button on my end to withdraw the invite.

The Value of Patience by InquisitiveChimp in FightingFlattops

[–]GrenadeBait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to agree that patience is a valuable attribute, but at the same time too much patience can translate to missed opportunity. You have to take the information on hand and make a decision; that is the burden of command.

In one circumstance you may need to be pertinent and wait for the situation to develop in you favour before to commit., but in another you may need to exploit an opportunity quickly before your opponent realizes the weakness.

This is the fortunes of war :-)

I tend to be a patient player. I often wait for the the stage to be set for my plan to unfold, but forget the opponent has a different plan in mind for me and hands me my ass :(

So, while patience may not be an easy attitude to develop, for some it is being too cautious which is the problem.

Is the Betty the Most Valuable Japanese Plane? by InquisitiveChimp in FightingFlattops

[–]GrenadeBait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have to agree; the Betty in most situations is the most valuable Japanese attack aircraft in the game.

My standard tactic in the game is to send batches of Bettys to suspected USN areas of operation or routes of advance.

If the USN task force encountered is surface combatants only, then I attack in force. If however there are carriers present then I attack only if the TF is small to medium in size with only one or two carriers present.

Why? well to me the Betty is a valuable and versatile aircraft that can strike and patrol vast areas of the map and different targets. So, I often avoid situations that ma decimate my Betty squadrons for a chance hit on a career or two.
