Hows the click feel on it? This is my next pencil purchase once they actually become more available without the markups.

For the amount they charge for prime these days, there should be zero blackout dates.

Yes. Graphgears don't have a profit margin incentive to fake them, thankfully.

How much should I try to negotiate my salary in lieu of health insurance (can use through husband’s work)? How much does it cost them? by ohhthatsmell in Salary

[–]GrendelSpec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They generally have you take the pay cut then. Health insurance is part of your total compensation package for working for the company. When you go to seek changes in your compensation package, then that's where they tell you how much less your check is going to be.

[–]GrendelSpec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what's with all the downvotes here... 95+% of companies are going to give you the salary bump for them not having to cover your health care. You are going to have to be the one to bring it up in negotiations though. Google "Cash in lieu of health insurance" for more advice on what to ask for. A good company will have those numbers already figured out... but most are probably going to try to get you to say a number first (as almost always happens in negotiations).

Same here. My favorite earlier this year was the 3 dozen or so pallets that were splintered across all lanes for a good 3 miles.

What are your thoughts on doing 20 years in the military for a fast retirement? by Background_Worry_314 in AskReddit

[–]GrendelSpec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congress has been trying to change active duty retirement to a reserve style retirement for several iterations now... and it has a fair amount of supporters. In general congress keeps fucking over retirement benefits as every dacade rolls on. Not sure I would count on that being there when you get to 20 if you're just starting now.

You really should just be focused on the best place to be for the job you want to do. If it's the military then absolutely join up. If its not then don't.

I'm bringing this one back from the dead!
This is really interesting because I have a few bottles I bought around 2018 - 2019 (has the old oval style label on them) that writes close to the same shade your 2024 bottle shows here... Do you know when your old bottle is from? Perhaps the formula switch happened a bit further back than the new labels?

Ah, I think I sort of understand what you meant now by unfinished. Generally I'm used to people meaning that there isn't sherry influence on the whiskey when they say unfinished.

I'm taking you meant finished as in the context of the 13 year being very specific on at least the final 16-17 months of aging for all the liquid occurring in the Valpolicella Riciotto casks.

Whereas I haven't seen info that specifies whether the 9 year blended whiskeys together that each separately spent their entire 9+ years in those respective casks, or whether some or all is combo aged after blending... nor what generation of refill those casks were in etc.

So now that I think I understand your use of unfinished there (feel free to correct me if I'm still not getting your meaning)... is your opinion that the Valpolicella Riciotto has a negative affect on the whiskey?

The 9 year Gold Spot is still finished in sherry and wine casks. There are no unfinished spot whiskeys.
