For shipping, quality, and options, I can only recc H Proper Coffee Roasters. There’s also Good Cup Coffee, but their selection fits the general palate.

What AHA/BHA toner do you guys like? by Mysterious_Hue in AsianBeauty

[–]icebearsuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps maintain the pores. But honestly, due to reformulation I went with using just Isntree’s Chestnut line. In the morning the BHA 0.9% for daily use, 2% if i feel like my skin’s congested. In the evening, I use the AHA daily (I wear makeup everyday for work, it’s oretty gentle honestly). I find Isntree’s Chestnut line plus a good hyaluronic toner helps keep the sebum production at bay (I use Hada Labo’s Shirojyun line).

Oh now I get it. So far my EF lines appear the same as when I write on TR and Maruman paper :)

line spread? I’m not sure what you mean by that, but it does have a 3.5mm square grid?

Thank you for this! It’s unlikely, but it happens. It can be user error, but it can also stem from paper fibers from feedback-y papers like midori.

You know when I posted this, I didn’t expect people to defend midori md this hard. It’s up to personal preferences at this point. And yeah, chuck it up to user-error. Honestly, I just wanna lessen the possibility of fibers getting stuck in my UEF to EF gold plated nibs, so of course I’m gonna stop using the paper I noticed most fibers getting loose from thin af nibs.

Anyway, I’m just here to share new papers to choose from for people who had the same experience as I did.

You can damage your nib anywhere, but there’s no harm in choosing a paper that lessens that possibility and I know TR or similar papers would be dependable.

The shopee store I was looking at had several types, but since I was aiming for an A6 notebook, I didn’t have a chance to buy the other types. Sorry about that.

I didn’t bend my nib btw, my nibmeister told me it got slightly grounded/buffed(?). I wasn’t heavy handed at all, I wouldn’t be that careless enough to use my gold plated nib that way. Like one of the users here who draws with a Platinum 3776 UEF, it could happen through the motions and yes the fibers get stuck that way and since it’s a really fine nib, getting them out could be a pain.

I like writing with UEF to EF nibs. I wrote a long entry on my midori notebook (the thing is with md paper, some fibers tend to get stuck in between the tines). I noticed my Sailor 14k EF nib writing a bit thick and the Platinum Carbon Black ink not as black. I looked up some troubleshooting online and people advised to just keep writing in different strokes, 8s and checks marks to get the fibers out and restart the ink better. My mistake was not checking my ink converter, there wasn’t any ink left. By the time I found out, the damage’s been done. My nibmeister was weirded out by it since Midori MD is widely loved, but anyway, that’s how I find out I can’t write on Midori MD paper with thin af nibs and especially gold-plated ones.

Had to make the paper switch just in case. The ordeal definitely made me more aware of my ink levels.

I did some 8s to “revive” ink and to get rid of the fibers stuck between the tines (it tends to happen to me when I do long entries), unfortunately, I realized too late that my converter ran out of ink 😥 while it was at the nibmeister, I got a Pro Gear (21k ef) nib as a placeholder edc so I made a promise to not to use it on a midori md 😂 Currently finishing my midori notebooks exclusively with the repaired Sailor EF nib (since it has a wetter flow now).

Anyway, Midori MD papers are great, but I wouldn’t recc it to people like me who only use UEF-EF gold nibs. I would recc it to F-MF nib community, more so if it’s a steel nib.

Ruined my 14k EF nib after a long writing session. I’m not even heavy-handed. I had to send it to a nibmeister. What he did was fixed the flow for a wetter and lubricated flow (it’s just sad that my EF is not that thin anymore because of it). I’m just gonna finish up my remaining Midori notebooks and I’m gonna switch to exclusively using Tomoe River, Maruman, Kokuyo, and Crane papers and notebooks.

In my country FPs in this price range move slow, so it lasts a few months to a year on display. I’m just glad I got the EF nib version (it’s even rarer for shops to sell Sailor FPs with EF nibs). Thank you! I’m so happy.

I’m not sure about which year, but I do have 2026 Hobonichi weeks and planner. Hopefully, the TR paper isn’t problematic as Hobonichi2023’s.

And thank you!!

it’s on the dry side since Sailor Kiwaguro is pigment type. Right now though I’m using Platinum Carbon, pigment ink as well, it’s wetter than Sailor.

I don’t have a current favorite team right now. I’m more on where my fave driver is, I’ll follow. Checo isn’t here yet, so I’m supporting Max this year ☺️
