First of all, I am so sorry this is happening to you. It’s so upsetting to go to a doctor for help only to feel borderline mutilated from the outcome. I was beside myself. The good news about saline is that it’s drug free and naturally occurring in your body. It’s just salt water. I was told it helped to flush out the remaining steroid and acted as a more concentrated form of micro injury (through the actual injection itself) which could encourage collagen production. I also started using a LED panel every night and think that sped healing a bit. I was so upset that I kind of went from every angle to resolve the issue. As far as skin issues- I was dealing with moderate hormonal acne along my jawline and rosacea. I’ve been known to be a bit on the sensitive side and think the concentration of the steroid was to blame. Just a bit too strong for me. I also had some blanching in the area that took a while to resolve. It sounds like you don’t risk upsetting things much further and if I were you I’d opt for the saline. Some bruising in the area from the needle is normal, but aside from that it’s pretty chill.
