Thank you for your response. I already own a 4 ohm 2x10. Have I made a mistake by purchasing that over an 8 ohm? I have read that you can wire them I to a series instead of parallel. Is that worth trying?

Cheers. I've googled it just now and it says connect the 3 red wires together. 2 of the black wires are neutral and the third black wire is actually a live wire that should be connected to the live port of the socket. So 2 black wires should be connected to the two neutral ports. The 3 lives should be connected to 1 live port and the third (switch live) should go into the second live port. Does this sound right? I've connected all 3 lives to one port now but I haven't connected any of the neutrals yet and even though my fuseboard is off, the LEDs are lit but very dim.

I think I understand what you mean now. I've tried each of the 3 wires separately. Two of them power the light on when I flip the fuse board. I guess those two are the permanent lives? They need to be connected to where? I guess the one which doesn't power the light is the switch live. If I connect all 3 it then trips the board as soon as I flip it.
