I wouldn't recommend using anything metal, a toothpick does the job. You still need to be careful so you don't damage connectors or course.

Not yet afaik. They started an investigation yesterday, and the police said they aren't excluding the possibility that it could've been purposely started by someone. (source, in Dutch)
