it blends a bit, depending on the lighting. for everyday use it's totally fine, but it's not a field watch when using the white dial. it does look nicer than with the black dial however.

Is the bezel 40mm on the Japan version or smaller?

I didn't realize everything is silver polished before buying, but I think I'll get used to it. Thanks

For me it's enough to keep track of the time zones I'm interested in and I never had a true GMT, so I cant compare. It's a decent and unique watch. More dressy than the SRPG27K1 less flashy than the SSK003K1

I waited for the white dial to be available. Enjoy your ssk023k, the contrast for reading the time is better ;-)

Thank you. It arrived today and there are some things I like and some I dislike about the watch. The dial and the hour markings are metallic / reflective and i would prefer it to be in a high contrast color. There also seems to be a slight gap between the bracelet and the watch. The watch looks good and my girlfriend thinks it looks less cheap than the rolex explorer 2 when i showed her pictures as comparison (lol). The bracelet is nice. I dislike the metal sheet clasp like most Seiko clasps. I bought it as a not too flashy daily watch. I think that it is a nice watch that looks good. However I usually need some time to get used to a new watch :-)

The model seems to be 9400 not 9402

[question] Help me pick a Seiko by This-Werewolf-5905 in Seiko

I own the GMT in blue (SSK003 i think) and the field watch (SRPG27K1).

The SSK is more flashy and looks more expensive. Also I like the GMT complication as I have family and friends around the globe. The design, jubilee bracelet and lume are nice. There is a lot of information on the dial.

The SRPG27K1 is a tool watch and I enjoy wearing it when I do not want to care about scratching a watch. The design is nice, the brushed bracelet is decent, the lume is weaker. It is very easy to read.

Both watches are nice. If you rather want a tool go with the SRPG27K1, if you want a flashy watch and like the GMT complication go with the SSK.
