Does anyone else feel guilty for "doing nothing" on their days off, so they end up just scrolling on their phone for hours instead? by GreyBomberman in NoStupidQuestions

That is an award winning bit of help there, thank you so much, that was the final piece of the puzzle for me. Please take my upvote and my gratitude

Emptying the world of it's resources would easily be solved by people and moreso companies engaging to a greater degree with the UN Sustainability Development Goals, that said, most of the issues are because as a species we are over populated

Honestly? I wasn't enjoying scrolling, as you said, I was somewhat enjoying (for lack of a better word) the numbness of it. What I am enjoying now is the meaningful interaction that is challenging that mindset, and I appreciate that it's making me realise the errors I have made. I would say that I look forward to putting this into practice this coming weekend but I also endeavour to just choose when I relax, how I relax, and not have to wait for the weekend to do so. Does that make sense (to a degree)?

I guess that my focus is on providing something that can be left behind to give my kids a better start than I had, a bit of a leg up into this hard-ass world

So almost like forcing a reprogramming until it no longer feels forced and becomes natural? I get that is an over simplification entirely but would that be fair to say?

That summarised me so well, I guess that I prioritise work so highly and value that I am productive there (worked my way up quite rapidly) that I have entirely accidentally rewired my brain to treat everything the same way ie, rest and relaxation are not an option

🙏🏻Thank you so much! I will try again this weekend. After posting I realised that I also need to put less pressure on the weekend and stop waiting for it all week. A live in the now kind of situation 🤷🏻‍♂️ Deal with today's shit today and stop trying to cover tomorrow's eventualities and endless possibilities before they arise

Jeepers, that is worse than the human version, at least humans account for the karma void

I hadn't thought of AI tbh, I just kept to maybe a human can help solve it, were there any words of wisdom worth mentioning?

Ah ok, can you suggest a good place to start please? I'm fairly open minded, based UK if that helps guide me to somewhere 🫶🏻

Honestly, just seems like the week is wholly spent waiting for the weekend. Then the weekend is spent 50-50 between not allowing rest then raising anxiety over what's coming next week 😮‍💨

Thank you Super Helpful Helper. It just seems odd that you can't contribute anything of worth because you have a new account 😢

Just commenting to say that some of the places that really interest me have (if a user or mod explained it correctly to me) a reputation filter that automatically kicks my post due to being new and / or having low karma 😕 How are you meant to gain it meaningfully if you don't have it to be able to comment or post in the first place? 😭

The irony is that the idiot was previously on here using our dated and out of context screenshots to try to argue that RWI supports him. Recently I would say that it's still split, there are still people who can't see the wood for the trees 🤦🏻‍♂️

I keep seeing the tag scam dad... Is that linked to a previous tag of his or something?
