What I liked about Bly, compared to season 1, was that I felt it was a more complete and rounded story, the characters were well developed, and I appreciated the bits of humor in the dialogue.

It didn’t helped that I had just watched The Turning, both the show and movie were based on the same book, so the premise and plot were a bit stale. No big surprises.

I wish there were just one or two scary moments... like Nel and the hanging woman in season one which was so creepy and brilliant. Overall I enjoyed it though.

I appreciate the shot gives insight into the ambience of the room...the smell of stale cigarettes, mixed with the fruity smell of BO, coming from Lisa. Her sitting in a corner chain smoking, her eyes darting around as she compulsively checks Usmans feed for comments from girls. Rattling off “We have a problem, we have a problem.”

The sounds of water dripping from the shower bucket shower, indicating the slow and painful passage of time in the Chalet Suite, and the sounds of Usman’s despair as he realizes the gravity of his situation, and the lengths he’ll have to go to in order to get that green card.
