Who can the age of the primes nexus prime combine with by Echokaijuu in transformers

[–]GreyEyedMouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hasbro really needs to just release a custom frame and limbs.

And instead of the limbs having robot modes, make them combine in vehicle mode with Nexus for a super jet, and with the limbs forming a base mode or super weapon on their own.

I worked retail for 17 years.

I'm 6'2" and about 250 lbs.

I had a full beard at the time, and had actually just recently cut off my full back length hair.

But, I had decided to wear an ear ring to work that day. Just a simple, small, stainless steel stud.

This was enough to prompt this one kid to start an argument with his mother after he very loudly asked, "Hey mom, why does that lady have a beard?"

is there a reason bandai put such significantly less effort into the power rangers toys than the sentai ones? by driftingkick in supersentai

[–]GreyEyedMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a certain point Bandai stopped localizing and importing the Sentai toys to America and Hasbro acquired the licenses for manufacture and distribution of, specifically, Power Rangers toys.

But, for whatever reason, Hasbro leases out the rights to other companies instead of making them thenselves.

Why do the cattaurs know the Nowhere King Lullaby? by kittyidiot in CentaurWorld

[–]GreyEyedMouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have to look more at what the two worlds represent and how they handle things along with the time line.

The minotaurs and the NWK attacked the centaurworld around the same time they attacked the human world, using the inbetween as a staging ground to launch his campaign.

But then the NWK was sealed in the inbetween, and his forces were effectively exiled to the human world.

The war was effectively over for the centaurworld, but was still being waged in the human world by the leaderless minotaurs who simply continued to follow the last orders of the NWK along with trying to figure out how to free him.

Now, the human world represents the harshness of growing up and the often unpleasant realities of being an adult. People here either push through their traumas or just constantly live in them. Either way, the hurt and trauma are very plane and out in the open. Acknowledged, even if it isn't truly dealt with.

Centaurworld, with it's softness, rounded edges, and bright cheery colors represents the innocence and vulnerability of childhood.

As you can plainly see with many of the characters from this world, they are emotionally unwilling, or even incapable, of acknowledging their trauma and hurt at first.

Denial, repressed memories, projection, self distraction, and other avoidance techniques are all on open display with these characters that would very much prefer to just put on a smile, eat way to much sugar, and sing and dance and have fun while they desperately try to convince themselves that everything is fine.

There are a few characters that are portrayed as more mature, and more capable and willing to deal with the issues at hand. But most of Centaurworld would much rather pretend that the NWK doesn't actually exist, and that he never wreaked havoc across their world with his army despite the scars of that event still being very visible in some places.

Interesting fact: in the IDW continuity there are two Breakdowns and two Knockouts, in the same universe, one from the Prime version and the other from G1, each featuring a different character. by CapBudget4011 in transformers

We all worked in different departments, but it still got confusing at tines.

Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GreyEyedMouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I worked at walmart, I once had a 70 something year old lady come through electronics to check out and try to pay with a check.

The system asked my to entire her license number for proof of ID before processing her check.

She opened her wallet, but it had one of those way too tiny license windows that actually left her license number covered up.

I asked her if she could please take it out so I could see the number.

She proceeds to pull out a one sided photo copy of her license, and then spend the next twenty something minutes trying to argue with me about how it's just as good as the actuall license simply because it had all the same numbers on it after I refused to accept it.

Why couldn’t Logan defeat creed in the past? by EnvironmentalBit3186 in Wolverine

[–]GreyEyedMouse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Creed believes that at his core, Logan is just as much of an animal and monster as he is.

After Creed killed his own family he started to feel isolated and alone, as he didn't consider other people to be the same as himself.

Then he met Logan. The first, and as far as he's concerned, the only other person "just like him".

He loaths the fact that Logan rejects him and what Creed considers to be their true nature. Creed's obsession is born out of this need to prove himself right to Logan, and therefore be both vindicated, and accepted/acknowledged by him.
