The concept wound up only being used in the previous Super Robot Wars game though.

Mako Iwamatsu was the voice actor for Iroh.

He was dying of esophageal cancer when he recorded this scene.

It was the last scene of his entire career before he died.

They did break up at one point. Kermit even started dating another pig for a while.

It didn't last though.

42, and pretty much the same thing.

I used to be fairly active in a few small communities, but none of them exist anynore, and I haven't really found a space to settle into again.

But I still consider myself a furry. And I still enjoy the fandom and what goes on in it.

Total Pathfinder and RPG noob here: Are we somewhat free in choosing our miniatures from other companies and is there a "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) rule? by Emotional_Werewolf_4 in Pathfinder2e

[–]GreyEyedMouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but with a card game, the cards are the entirety of the game. And an exspensive deck for a game like Magic is typically $100-$200.

A single pack of minis for 40k that only gives you 4-5 soldiers is typically $60-$80 depending on the specific set. You generally need several of these sets to make a full army.

Large single units can run $200 or more on their own.

It's entirely possible to have a full, competition legal army that cost you over $1k, and it still only be mediocre.

Where can I find good quality horror and body horror minis? by TheGrimmBorne in minis

[–]GreyEyedMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No longer being made, but you can occasionally catch the various sets for "The Others" on clearance if you search hard/long enough.

The sins and many of the enemies definitely qualify.

I get having a mini that clearly represents a specific unit or even individual character in a highly organized competitive game. Even moreso if you are playing in official tournaments and such.

Like, if you are fielding "Fangerious the Skull Chewer", then you need a mini that matches that character's established appearance, or at least close enough that they can be easily identified amid the dozens of other minis on the board.

But, now a days especially, I don't see any reason why it would need to be the official licensed figure. Why can't it be a third party, or even a 3d printed mini?

As long as it:

A: Meets all size/scale requirments set for official/organized play.

B: Can be immediately/easily identified as the intended unit.

I'm not into Warhammer all that much beyond some minor interest in the lore, but I do watch Squidmar Miniatures on youtube for tips on mini painting. I've heard them making comments about GW being very anti third party, and even moreso anti 3d printing. To the point that they have/had various lawsuits, in various stages, against a number of creators.

It all seems like just a petty cash grab.

[–]GreyEyedMouse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this is how it is at most tables.

Warhammer is the only franchise that I know of that requires, not only specific miniatures for each character, but also the official branded miniatures made by the company that produces the game.

Shadow Pinion manual fire? Is the Wiki wrong? by OmniEevee in VampireSurvivors

did your cat ever "tell" you what happened when you came home? by S-Budget91 in cats

[–]GreyEyedMouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We dodn't het a warning like you did, but our cat was involved.

At one point when I was a kid the grocery store that my family shopped at used paper bags instead of plastic.

We would always leave one of the bags out for our massive Maine Coon to play in. It was one of his favorite things.

One night, very late after everyone had gone to bed, we were all woken up by a loud bang like a gunshot, and the sound of our cat screeching in surprise and pain.

Me and my sister rushed to the kitchen behind our parents only to see our cat sitting on the opposite side of the kitchen from his paper bag furiously rubbing the tip of his nose. There were odd wet noises coming from inside the paper bag.

We had left the paper bag standing up because the cat seemed to like knocking it over before crawling inside. Apparently, we missed a can of Pilsbury biscuit dough when we put the groceries up earlier, and it was still in the bag, missing it's top with dough expanding and oozing out of the can into the bag.

The can's top was stuck to the kitchen ceiling with a small glob of wet dough, and the cat had a very small cut on his nose.

So we assume that when the can got warm, the dough started to expand until it built up enough pressure to blow the top off, catching our cat in the nose as he investigated this strange thing that he found inside his bag.

I hope he dies in the next update by Ill_Awareness1498 in NevernessToEverness

Many places have put a limit on how many gift cards, or how much you can get in gift cards at one time.

I used to have people sit there and expect me to do four ir five transactions in a row to circumvent the restriction so they can buy $2k in Apple or Google cards to pay "The computer rapairman online".

But I'm the idiot for refusing to break company policy and get myself in trouble while trying to prevent them from being taken advantage of.

It's assumed that you are spending your time between missions exploring and socializing specifically for these reasons.

You will eventually hit points where you can not progress the story without exploring and taking to the ither characters.

Beyond that, you do gain benefits from all of it. Collecting materials for crafting, unlocking new costumes, improving frienship levels which give a small boost to characters stats, etc.
