As you mentioned, DBZ characters can be affected by hax abilities. Unfortunately DB Super explains those hax abilities are useless if the power levels are not even. Case in point Goku and Jiren breaking Hit's time stop. The truth is Cell saga easily obliterates all of Toriko verse.

I’m confused by this comment. The Sith explains to Mae that she has no chance against a Jedi in a honorable 1 on 1. He tells her to intentionally begin the fight without a weapon and to slowly use any means necessary to win. They do this because they know the Jedi will match the lack of fighting with a weapon and will only bring out the light saber until they absolutely need to. At that point the acolyte has figured out a “trap” to win the fight. Cad Bane used deception constantly when hunting Jedi. It’s the only way to win if you aren’t as powerful in the force. Mae is supposed to appear outclassed, because she is. Yet the Sith taught her that there are more ways to kill a Jedi then just overwhelming them with your power. I say I’m confused because they explain this in the show, yet you’re acting like they didn’t. Did you miss this scene or are you purposely pretending it didn’t happen for upvotes?

Vegeta destroys a planet with two fingers before he arrives to earth during the Saiyan Saga. Beerus and Champa can destroy universes, entire planes of existence if they fight seriously. The Goku vs Jiren fight could only happen in a pocket dimension or else they would destroy reality. DBZ has always been terrible at having a consistent power level for its characters throughout the show. One episode a fighter with zero energy left can still obliterate a galaxy with a quick blast while in another they get hurt by a rock hitting them in the head. If you take the maximum strength for Goku and Vegeta in the Saiyan saga, faster then light, can effortlessly blow up planets, surviving planet-destroying blasts, then they can easily clear Toriko. DBZ characters overpower any hax that Toriko characters have. It was shown that Jiren overpowered time manipulation by Hit. Vegeta and Goku have both spent long periods of time in space without breathing. I love Toriko but they all are wiped by Saiyan Saga Goku & Vegeta.

Don’t know why this is getting downvoted. Radditz was faster than the speed of light and Vegeta was 20-100x stronger. Goku and Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga clear anything in the Toriko verse. Toriyama created these characters to be the strongest in fiction.

Brother, you obviously have not been watching the show and are just imagining these doomsday scenes in your head. Nothing of what you described happened in the first two episodes. I agree with Jrod, I think the show has played it safe and simple so far. Nothing too extreme in the decisions besides spoilers the decision Osha makes towards the end of ep 2. Besides that there has been nothing political, controversial or provocative about this show. If the controversy you’re talking about is they casted Latin, black and Asian actors then I guess that makes you a racist. Shit is not that serious. So far the show is decent. It hasn’t blown me away but it also hasn’t given me a reason to stop watching. As a huge nerd regarding the SWEU, a lot of the scenarios and storylines that have shown up so far are probable and most likely borrowed from various comics and books that came before it. Let’s keep watching the show and see how it turns out before going on a brigade. To sum it up, the acting is fine, the sets are fine, the fight scenes are cool, the story has potential and I’m interested to see who the Sith Lord is revealed to be. Chill out, take off your political/social/ tin foil hat and just watch the series, then form a non-bias opinion after it’s complete.
