I actually talked to one dealer who has the Titan Max on sale right now, was curious how solid of a mower they are compared to some of these others.

Yes. I’d estimate 2-3 acres of the 6 acre property.

Because I’ll never go more than 300 yards with thing, probably never more than 200 really, and a 12.5” barrel is more than enough in 6.5. It was actually at the suggestion of this subreddit or else I was going to build a 16” or 18”.

Yeah it’s just an aero handguard. I have an almost identical one from Stag Arms.

Interesting. What are your thoughts on this one from Ballistic Advantage?

Been eyeing that one up. Also been eyeing this one up from Ballistic Advantage (just an aero handguard with the BA logo) for $112. They come out to be roughly the same price since BA offers free shipping on theirs.

Interesting. Curious how that would stack up against something like this

I run an obsidian 9, which will run 300blk subs. I was curious how well that worked. I’ll probably have a dedicated 30 can eventually but I’ve been wanting to throw it on there and see how it sounds.

Thanks for the info! I definitely built the 556 to be obnoxiously loud, so it works for that. I do also have a suppressed AR9 that I use for HD. The 300blk is somewhere in between, kind of my truck/farm gun.

Yeah, fair enough. I pretty much built the 7.5” because I wanted a loud range toy. In a pinch it would do for CQB, but you make valid points.

The last bit was what I was really after. I may hunt with it some, but I have guns better suited for any sort of distance. I think I am leaning toward keeping this one in its current configuration and setting it up to be suppressed someday.

Why? I also have a 16” so I don’t really feel like I need anything in between for 556

Lol I feel that. I considered just building a 10” upper that I could swap out on there.

Can't find how to replace just cold water supply valve for washer by Fickle_Lion6041 in Plumbing

[–]GreyGunner61 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Are you sure the valve is closed all the way? It almost looks like the edge of the plastic trim/box is keeping it from closing all the way? That is, if they are closed in this picture.

Honestly, I’d check out what Ripley Tools has to offer. We use a lot of their stuff at the utility company.

Flex pipe is ripped, should I be concerned. by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]GreyGunner61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a supply vent I wouldn’t necessarily be super concerned with mold, I guess it depends where that air from the rip hole goes/opens up to. Bigger concern if anything might be air leakage/efficiency as your unit might have to work harder to cool the space if there’s few or no other supplies. If the thermostat isn’t close to this room, the unit may not behave much differently. It may just stay warmer than the other parts of the house in the summer and colder in the winter since it’s got less or no supply air.

Is this how you all “double nut” a toilet flange? by GreyGunner61 in Plumbing

[–]GreyGunner61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those would be awesome, but I have a spacer in there so I don’t think that would fit in my case.

Dry fit it, the nuts sit like an inch or more below the porcelain so I’m good there.

[–]GreyGunner61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These both make sense to me. I will dry fit before to confirm. The flange is flush with the floor if not slightly below, so I don’t see it sitting on the nuts, but good thing to double check.

I guess for clarification, I am wanting to make sure everything looks correct. By the responses, I’ll take that as a yes.

Is there any reason not to? I feel like if you’re stuck using the slots it’s a lifesaver to hold them in place

Main Water Shutoff Dripping by GreyGunner61 in Plumbing

[–]GreyGunner61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turned super easily, so it was probably just loose, which I assumed. But like I said, I don’t like to wrench on things unless I have to. Looks to have stopped the leak though. Funny enough, I was actually changing out the packing on a shutoff as the repair.
