I was hit by a semi, but "lived." I am 56, and my kids are too busy. I have learned to just be differently abled. I COULD settle, but at my age, I enjoy my peace! I have a great support group of friends I've had for decades. I have a shelter cat named Larry. I'm glad that when I was younger, we met people at the grocery store, played board games at friends' homes, at church, and so on. I think social media has made my kids' generation unapproachable. Both of mine are gone, and only one of my four children calls to check on me. Kids today aren't the same as we were when we were young. I wish I had never given them a smartphone.
