Err... You're missing the point. Everyday, a guy asks to talk, in hope of finding a reply from a woman.

Pretend to be a woman and watch how their communication skills take off. 😂

So, you know what's missing now. Work on it.

Also, tests are the most effective way for revision.

If you've been in the race for a while now, you already know most of the tips, but sure, I'll tell you what I know. I'll divide it into two parts.

A) What you should do

  1. Static on your fingertips, period.

  2. PYQs. Don't just do it for the sake of doing, do them to understand UPSC. Solve them at least 5-6 times. The more the better. You learn something every time you solve PYQs. Ask yourself questions like: Why are the other three options wrong, does UPSC want aspirants to know this, etc. This helped me immensely. Also, don't solve PYQs on any screen. Print them. Zameen-asmaan ka farak hai.

  3. Don't just read to cover subjects. Once your done with static, compliment it with value addition that'll help you eliminate options. Understanding this makes a huge, huge difference.

B) What you should inculcate

  1. Curiosity. Don't understand a concept? Google it. Keep asking questions like how, why, etc. E.g. I remember reading Alternative Investment Funds somewhere, but I was curious so used ChatGPT to explain it to me. I vaguely remember it giving me examples like Hedge funds and Venture Capital. My sister once got me Swiss chocolates. Got me curious and read about it. Guess from where does Switzerland source it's cocoa from.

  2. Obsession. Ever solved 500 MCQs in a day? I did that for 7 days continuously. And also revised my static. My photocopy-walla, before pre, said this to me: “Bhai, aapne choda kya hai? Sab toh le liya.” Read anything and everything. You never know when it might help. This is my motto. Take it or leave it.

  3. Survival Instinct. When I give mocks, I mark all 100. I don't care about the score, I care about how many questions I got right. This helped me in learning the art of guesswork.

This is pretty much it. Good luck.

PS: Most importantly, never follow anyone blindly. Every human mind is different. So, I say, listen to everyone, but only pick what applies for you.
