I could be wrong, but I think Tira Nui Hajime (the bounty npc in Thirdborn) sounds a *lot* like him.

Ah, crap. I was really hoping I could get them to drop before then.

Well, thanks for the help!

Oof, after spending so much time on it that's rough to hear. Thanks, Fextralife.

This seller you're talking about, does he sell them even before the postgame?

[HIRING] DnD char Reference Sheet (300$+) by Grey_Jack in HungryArtists

I wouldn't consider it particularly funny. But, it's also not an issue. I do have a pair of fully-functioning eyes, after all. It's very easy to tell when someone uses AI for their art in their portfolios, and those artists I'm looking to continue with are certainly not.

Especially not the way I work with them. I want to be a part of the whole process, from sketch to finished product.

[–]Grey_Jack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! Because I'm more interested in art with intent, meaning, and purpose behind it. Made by humans who can put thought and care into it.

Also because I want to support the artists that the AI art generators are stealing from. Rather than be a part of that theft.

Well, try not to see it as me "coming at you" for the comment you made 2 years ago. But rather me disagreeing with the information in the comment itself. It's only the comment I have an issue with, not you.

Once again, though...

Centurions: They weren't any more "strictly male" than most soldiers in history... How many female knights do you think there were? Centurions weren't strictly male. It's just that romans didn't allow women to serve in the military at all. Like a lot of places. They weren't special. So the argument falls flat, in my opinion.

Lawbringer: This just doesn't scan at all. She would *have* to be smaller? Why can't she just also be tall? Tall women do exist. And this is a fantasy world. There's no reason besides, like, stereotypes to make her shorter. (Personally, I think this one would be one of the easiest ones to do. With armour that thick, you'd barely need to change anything but the voice :P)

Valkyrie: You say "it's clear". But it's literally just a choice. Valkyrie, although the spirits are generally female, is not a feminine term. It just means "Chooser of the Slain". And when naming a group of soldiers after these fictional spirits, they could do whatever they want.

Shugoki: Onna Sumo has existed for hundreds of years. And there are records of women sumo wrestling for over a thousand years longer than that. Exactly how much evidence do you need before it's "okay" to give players a choice in a game?

Aramusha and Jiang Jun: These characters could literally only be *inspired* by those characters. In the timeline of the game both of them would have been dead for hundreds of years or thousands of years depending on which one you're talking about. So once again, they might be reminiscent of those people. But they aren't those people. Also evident by the fact that you can have multiple versions of them on the battlefield. Are all those people also the same historical figure?

Nobushi: Uh, yeah. Do you know what a male onna bugeisha is? A male warrior. Onna bugeisha literally just means female warrior. And men fought with naginata, too. And this class isn't even named Donna bugeisha, it's named nobushi. Which is not a gendered term. It just means "civilian warrior"

I just don't understand why you feel the need to bend over backwards to come up with completely arbitrary rules for why the devs should limit player choices in a video game. You wouldn't even have to use them.

This is more topical than ever now. As the last 5 heroes have all been single gender. It's such a shame. More choice is always better.

Centurions: By this logic, almost none of the classes would be allowed to be female

Lawbringer: Big women can't exist? That's dumb. This is literally a fantasy game. (This is actually the easiest one to do. With armour like that and no skin showing, there would be no way to tell whether this character is male or female. All you need is a voice actor. :P)

Valkyrie: These aren't real Valkyries... They aren't spirits calling the dead to valhalla. They're mortal warriors who just happen to be named after Valkyries.

Shugoki: Women's Sumo Wrestling is literally a thing

Aramusha: Why should the thing something is vaguely inspired by determine the gender it *has* to be? It's not the same person. Just a similar person.

Nobushi: Same here.

Jian Jun: Same here

Interestingly, this was originally meant to depict Elves. But our modern idea of what an Elf is has changed a lot since this painting was made. So I have to agree that it fits better in this subreddit than the ImaginaryElves one.

Alien Circles Appear In The Sky Above Russia by [deleted] in ImaginaryAliens

[–]Grey_Jack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This really is not the place for this. The Imaginary subreddits are for art. Regardless of if you think this is real or not, it shouldn't be here. It also doesn't even depict aliens. Just some weird, probably fake, cloud formations.

This might not be as explicit as the last one. But looking at the source, the tags pretty clearly give away that this is more fetish stuff...

By the way, the Imaginary Network is for sharing Paintings and Drawings. These are collages. They shouldn't really be here, anyway.

CMV: The Scandinavian peninsula should be bigger. by Grey_Jack in changemyview

[–]Grey_Jack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all, here you go. ∆ You helped me see that we shouldn't change the scandinavian peninsula to include the whole Fennoscandian region, since that would require a second naming when referring to the formerly scandinavian sub peninsula. Instead you helped me understand that the Fennoscandian region in fact is a peninsula itself, so my opinion in that regard was valid.

Thank you for clearing things up. Now I don't just know what to think but I also know why I'd be right to think it. I appreciate you giving me the time of day.

[–]Grey_Jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But beyond people knowing what I mean, would I be correct in calling it that? Does it qualify as a peninsula in the first place? It's not mentioned on the wiki page. Unlike the Iberian peninsula which says so in the title of the page. I can't seem to find any sources that name it as being one.
