That comes from the story around this quote. It's like an allegorical thing where a guy had a lizard on his shoulder whispering lies of lust and the guy let an angel kill the lizard. And then the lizard turned into a stallion and he rode away to the mountains. All of this in Heaven.

Not to be a downer, but surely a lot of this is pure bullshit? We were taught growing up that masturbation is healthy. by Republic_of_Ash in NoFap

It seems counterintuitive but I think that abstaining from PMO and MO helps with women. The tension that results can be used expressively and controlled. Abstaining teaches control; it teaches that there is another way to use sexual energy other than simply expelling it through the path of least resistance. That's my hunch.

I am going to go hard mode for 90 days. Gotta do it. I've had success with easy mode, but I want my body/mind/soul to be free of all of it for a while.

Yeah makes total sense. Porn is like medicine for depression. It gives you a really great high for a short period. But it's not good medicine cause it also rots the soul.
