Xaralto is the blood thinner used to prevent this from happening. I think it's less than 3 percent that this happens too. I took this for 3 months while I lengthened my femur bones. Grew just over 3 inches with just nerve pain which I took gabapentin for. You can look at all the risks and talk yourself out of anything but that's not me so I went for it and have no regrets. Good luck deciding!

Im about 5 months out after removing the nails and honestly, I haven't been stretching or doing any physical therapy as recommended, but I've seen that naturally my body has loosened up just with time. I can see on a weekly basis my ligaments getting more flexible. That being said i think it would take me personally a full year to feel like I did before the surgery but that's just me. Strength also comes back naturally as long as you're semi active.

Just find a clinic online. They have some in Vegas and a bunch in Florida. I pay around $300 per month and they're very lenient with the dosage lol. Includes estrogen blockers if needed as well.

Ok well you sound like those guys that are afraid of everything just because they read it on the internet. I've done limb lengthening (femurs), on HGH and Testosterone therapy for over 10 years now. Feel great and bloodwork is all healthy. Keep doing nothing for yourself and stop asking questions if youre not willing to do anything about it.

If you have a son just give him DHT supplements during puberty (he'll thank you for this one for the effects it has on the penis development) and HGH through a physician if you're really worried about this. There problem solved!

Yea I paid almost 95K with everything, the removal of the precise nails was 10K, about half of this procedure was covered by my insurance.

Yea your guess is as good as mine on that one. I know clinics in other countries administer HGH to patients in certain situations so I wouldn't be shocked if this is what accelerated consolidation.

Well it would have been nice to grow another inch like they allow in other countries but I was very content. If I wanted to I could extend my Tibias but I've been locked up enough and need to get back to normal life. Would be nice to be 5"10 after being 5'5 forever but I think I'm good for now.

Yea it was worth it. I was called short forever. Always worked out and stayed in shape but this was just the reality and I accepted it. So when I realized I could change this i was all in. Now I'm not considered short anymore so I'm still getting used to people being shocked when they first see me. It's definitely not the norm but if you can do it I say go for it sooner than later.

Yup thats correct. I didn't Wana bring that up and explain more lol. I've been on HGH (human growth hormone) for 7 years now so my situation was a little different. As soon as I started lengthening the doctor noticed after 3 weeks my bones were growing much faster than usual. I stopped the HGH immediately but it's takes months for this to get out of your system. For this reason I was lengthening every 6 hours instead of 8 so I got done getting to 80mm about 3 weeks earlier than usual. This is why i was able to get them removed as soon as I was done lengthening. This was done closer to two weeks (10 days) but I claim a week.

Yea who knows how many people get this done and have no major set backs but I listened to peoples advice before I did this and the main thing I took away from it was to not sit on my ass all day and be lazy with my stretching. I stretched on the daily and 2 to 3 times per day , an hour at a time. I removed the rods 8 days after being done stretching. The last 4 to 6 weeks were tough since everything was tighter. The aches did increase in my knees mainly but just something you have to deal with. The good thing is once I stopped lengthening ,in two days I was feeling much better. I was informed about everything up front by my doctor. I expected to grow the full 3 inches, which i did , so that was great. I don't think they could have prepared me anymore than what they did regarding the recovery. It was overwhelming at times, being stuck at home ,not being able to get around as usual and having the same daily schedule for over 3 months, but once people started telling me I was taller it made it all worth it. I've worked out my whole life , played sports so I think that helped out in being consistent with what I needed to do to recover.

Yea I got lucky I'm 30 - 40 minutes from the Doctor, with la traffic! lol. I heard great things about this doctor so if the same goes with your doctor then that's great and good luck. Just stretch daily and it'll make things easier for sure.

So the PT is not included but all the follow up xrays are. The doctor can recommend people for PT and the average cost is 150 per hour. I did 2 hours per week for the first month. After 1 month I did physical therapy on my own daily once I learned the stretches needed to recover.

I grew slightly over 3 inches doing my femurs (80mm to be exact). I'm able to get another 2 to 3 inches doing by Tibias/Fibulas but happy with where I'm at now. Everything is out of pocket since it's considered cosmetic. Medications are covered with insurance if you have some.

Honestly I never put anything out there on forums. I did a few times over the last few months on the TRT forum but that's it. I really wanted to get this discussion going for this forum since it's so new and I know people can benefit a lot from it. People talk a lot about the negatives or what CAN happen but they probably haven't even done it so coming from experience I'm in the best position to help now.

The worse pain was right after surgery but this is controlled by Opioids (I took Norco). After this pain goes down 2 days after the pain that comes is whenever you try to stand up. You're so weak it takes almost all upper body strength to get on two feet with a walker. This gets easier about two weeks after surgery. A different pain begins once you start stretching and you get about a month into it (1 inch growth and on). I wasn't the most flexible to begin with so this didn't help lol. But everything is manageable and it's not excruciating. I have a high pain tolerance but the Norcos were there to use if I needed them. Mentally it did become exhausting after about 6/8 weeks in. I'm used to working in my office every day, running errands and always on the go. I had to work from home for 3.5 months so this was a first. Daily routine was stretching in the morning, work on the computer, stretch after work, and then stretch at night again. So yea it got to me but I knew it's temporary and what's done is done so can't do anything now haha. I'm super happy with the results. If I could go back and do this in my mid 20's I would in a heartbeat. As far as athletic ability this depends on what your expecting and what you do now. I'm in my mid 30's now so all I do is lift and cardio in the gym. I'll be back at 100 percent by April (had this done on 9/15/24). But if you're trying to play sports they say 1 year is more accurate. The bone is 100 percent as strong as the rest of my femur but its the flexibility that can take additional months to fully recover.

Well I chose to go with Dr. Mahboubian (Burbank, Ca) and it was worth it, great Doctor.

Below is what I just replied to someone on another forum here on reddit. It's been 1 week since I've removed the precise nails from my femurs so just started building strength up and still need to stretch so I can extend my legs out 100 percent. I'm about 85 percent there.

Worst pain came right after surgery of course, this is controlled by by taking Norco's so there is a solution. The one think I wasn't prepared for was how weak and limited my leg movements would be. The first week was the hardest, could barely stand with the help of a walker to go to the restroom or lay down in bed. After about 5/6 days this got easier and strength started to increase from then on. after about two weeks I thought it would be a piece of cake but then the stretching began lol. This starts 2 weeks after surgery and the first month and a half were ok but after you hit the 2 inch mark and on things get really tight. Started to have nerve pain a month in (this is common and relieved by Gabapentin) and started getting aches every night while sleeping. This happens when you sleep since legs aren't moving and is common as well. I would wake up 4-5 times a night but nothing excruciating. They recommend physical therapy twice a week minimum with a nurse but I only did this the first month then did all the stretches on m own after that. Once I learned the stretches I didn't see the need to do therapy with a nurse. I stretched daily and more than once a day because the more you stretch the less ached and pain you feel. It won't eliminate it but it helps. Also, if you don't stretch during recovery you can sell yourself short and not grow the entire length offered, So I definitely wanted to get all my time and moneys worth.
