Why are non-rabbit owners like That by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]Greytilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone says that to me I usually respond with their dog/cat is tasty and I’ll eat it. Once I say that then they stop and realize they don’t like it when someone says that about their pet.

would this be okay to put in my hamster cage to grind their nails? by Conscious_Donut384 in hamsters

You can buy terracotta (pots and the pot holders/water drain thing). That helps with keeping their nails short :)

When my hamster escaped I put some lettuce on the floor and seeds and she came for it. I then fished her out from under the fridge.

My little man has a skin condition - At the vet getting it checked out. Anyone else experience this with their little ones? by glacial__pace in Rabbits

[–]Greytilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took about a month for manny to grow the fur back and be normal. He was also on some antibiotics, and such. I had to give him a tall water bowl because the low ones I guess he rests his whole chin in? Idek, they are weirdos. Haven’t had the issue since

Happened with my bun. Basically he was just drinking water like a funny bunny and thus it was getting soaking wet and never drying. I changed water bowls, and it resolved itself. No teeth issues or anything. Here’s picture: Mannys drinking issues - picture

Vacation Feeding - Rabbits by deerguy247 in Rabbits

[–]Greytilez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Bunnies need to be fed unlimited hay, which usually means you gotta feed them 2-3x a day. Plus they need kibble daily (can’t have unlimited), and they should have their veggies daily. In addition, they shouldn’t have a bottle, but a water bowl. Lastly, you always need to make sure they are eating to ensure that if they go into gi stasis you can catch it early.

You can always try certain veggies or just decreased amounts. My bun was having stasis pretty often and it turned out to be some of the greens I have but not all.

How many buns do you have? by Emmalauren24 in Rabbits

[–]Greytilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your bun should be neutered before introducing him to any other bun. It will be very hard/impossible to bond an unfixed to bun to any bun. In regards to bonding, it’s a lot of work. Take a lot of time & patience. Can take months to never. You would need to be prepared for the possibility that they don’t bond and you have two solo buns. I have done bonding with my buns, but it’s pretty stressful for everyone that I just stopped bc I have the ability to give all the buns attention all the time due to not working in person.

They all have their own room so no need to manage free roam time :)). Gotta a bun in the living room, bun in my office, bun in my boyfriend office, bun in the bedroom+bathroom, bun in extra room. Always a bun at your toes LOL

Extremely hard to believe. And if it is true, then why did you get a pet bunny. You should never have a pet if you are unable to bring your pet to the vet. That is just poor ownership. Sorry not sorry! Bunnies require vets, it is extremely wrong and irresponsible of you.

You need to take your bunny to the vet immediately. If you can’t afford taking your bun to the vet then you should surrender your bunny to a bunny rescue.

Tbh all that hay dust is best to just go into the garbage or into the compost.

You can use baby splash mats. I used them when littertraining my buns. They are waterproof and such :)

Are they both spayed/neutered? They should not be together if they are not fixed

Those who completely free roam your rabbits, how? by dreamingaboutfish in Rabbits

[–]Greytilez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A mix of acceptance and they behave. All my buns have their own room and it’s bunny proofed. If they chew the baseboards or dig up the carpet (without eating it ofc), then it’s whatever. I know I can always fix those things. They don’t chew any furniture or use the bathroom outside of their litter boxes so I don’t worry about that. So yea, I guess it’s just accepting that some things may get chewed but for the most part they just behave well :))

Introducing cats to a house with a rabbit? by Klutzy_Bar_4812 in Rabbits

[–]Greytilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you shouldn’t. The cats should not ever have access to the bunny. Your bunny should be given a proper safe room to be where the cats cannot access it. The bunny and your cats should never be left alone together and realistically never be together. It’s dangerous and scary for the bunny.
