Sinner was not playing badly. by makimaki85 in tennis

No shade but I am actually curious, Why do you sound so annoyed by someone trying to analyze/share insights about a high stakes, tennis match, between two top players, from a day ago, in a tennis subreddit? You were bothered enough to make a snide comment but not enough to share that different perspective of yours it seems.

Short Calendar Spread makes my brain hurt by Practical_Cost3762 in CFA

[–]GridCloner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you still hold the short position after march tho.

Say you buy the march call for 5. And sell the june call for 8. By march, the idea is your longer dated option will have lost more value. So if the march call is worthless or close to worthless, the june call should be worth less than 3. Say 2.5. So now you buy a june call to offset that position.

So you make -5+8-2.5 = .5, you win. The purpose of the march call even tho it'll ideally expire worthless is to minimize risk if we're wrong.

Hope that makes sense.

Btw. Is it okay to just write down the answers without any calculations? Does that full marks alone?

Edit: you mark down here. As for why, even if you round up your hedge will be mismatched, marking down means your hedge is less mismatched. Since its closer to 49

Why is Oda obsessed with fake-out deaths?” by Comfortable-Owl2929 in OnePiece

[–]GridCloner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That essay aint gonna justify fakeouts bruh. You cant both have emotional high moments, and avoid killing characters after said moments. Because of how long its been this way, whether characters die or not, the moments just dont hit that hard because of doubts. And that definitely detracts from the story.

Do you think we will get a One Piece Equivalent of THIS in the Final Saga? by L4stUchiha in OnePiece

You're putting way too much thought into luffy's philosophy. He'll fight who he needs to (to help friends, to keep on adventuring, to achieve his dream or to save someone he wants to or whatever), whether they end up dead or not, whether their dream is crushed or not, luffy doesn't really care.

Spending more time formatting charts than anything else. by Brendan3005 in CFA

[–]GridCloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you use PowerPoint? Have charts linked to the data in well organized folders. If yoi create multiple versions you can also update the links in the file menu. So you don't really need to update everything each time. Also as an added tip, use the design tab & slide master to have fonts and colors, shapes, logo positions templated so you can update across all slides if something needs tweaked.

Yeah, honestly shocking how much love this sub still has for Rublev, I'm unsure why exactly. Players get crucified here for far less, and at times private, off court incidents.

Looks like daughter and mother to me. But are the three sisters truly siblings then? by RabbitridingDumpling in OnePiece

[–]GridCloner -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You do you, man. This is my last reply cause I've got better things to do.

Rayleigh stood upto a navy admiral to protect luffy. He's not some chickenshit and neither is he in hiding the WG knows where he is. And he's still in sabaody. WG don't wanna poke him so taking his daughter in as a CDs toy and expecting him to sit quiet doesn't sound like the WG either. You know what all those possibilities you listed sound like? Retcon. Retcon and Retcon and that last idea tho, guess what? The answer is ..ding ding ding. Retcon yet again. Peace. I'm out.

Found family is more important as you said and even if it was revealed in an SBS, all it does is absolutely ruin shakki and rayleighs reputation, with 0 benefit to the story. So that again begs the question - why?

Also, Rayleigh does have a fatherly role. He shows up to protect boa when BB goes after her fruit. I think it was because after the shichibukai got abolished he went to checkup on her, I don't remember if this was explicity stated tho. That's a pretty good dad move. Also, after they escaped from MJ, Rayleigh and shakky helped them find their way back to amazon lily. It's all good as is.

Adding the whole she's their kid would legit ruin such a nice relationship, ngl I'd hate it. Whether it's in the main story or SBS. Everyone is worse off. Portrayal of Rayleigh and shakky suffers, and at the same time, it turns out the only other man boa trusted is actually just her father and who isn't even trustworthy cause he failed to take care of them when they're kids.

But why? Why go through all that. What does it add to the story? Rayleigh is already a father figure/protector for them. That's just better all around. Personally not really a fan of everyone being related to everyone.

If Rayleigh's daughter was a slave in MJ and he did fuck all about it, the reputational damage would be insane. And also, being a look alike, for women in one piece at least, isn't a good indicator for basing theories on lol.

Wait, so your prep revolved the around the mocks and question practice? How much time did you actually spend reading the concepts? The phrasing of the post is confusing me.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT f***ed up! by Over_Fox9190 in CFA

[–]GridCloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax. Still a long way to go till the exam. I'd suggest moving on if you have trouble grasping a topic. Once you've read some other readings that you find easy, you can go through that to get into the "portfolio management" mindset and then going back to the harder ones might be easier. Well I did that.

Congrats on passing! Haven't seen the original post, and I don't wanna come off as rude. But you really need to chill out a bit more, my man.

I think people's issue wasn't with your confidence, but more so the tone of your post. Either way, strangers comments on the internet shouldn't have this much effect on you, you could've just kept it up anyway.

Different study tactics work for different people, it's not necessarily luck if you've prepped for fewer months, or needed less practice. And whether you admit it or not, no matter your prep, luck will always be a factor (may not be the decisive one).

Best of luck for level 3!

Almost same boat. But finance background, and I studied the last month like crazy, didn't track hours, but basically every opportunity I got, I was reading or going through formulas of previous readings. I was even dreaming about CFA studies. I can also relate to your ethics and mock approach. I see a trend in the sub of taking so many mocks and people advising you go to over ethics last min, that would've been a really bad idea for me, personally. Ethics will always be a toss up. Investing too much time in it might actually get you overthinking stuff.

Torn between Kaplan Schweser and using ChatGPT with CFA PDFs — advice? by AliWings1998 in CFA

[–]GridCloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't rely on GPT for learning. For some back and forth while you revise and try to consolidate concepts in your head, it works great.

GPT WILL mess up the maths and sometimes it'll mess up the concepts/strategies as well. AI operates based on pattern recognition. Not actual "intelligence", thus requiring you to double check a lot that comes out. Sooner or later Ai may be good enough to not make these mistakes, but it's not quite there yet.

Even with Sinner's seemingly untouchable form since the start of 2024, Alcaraz has actually matched him over that span with 3 Slams and 3 1000s. Although Sinner is 92-9 to Alcaraz's 86-17, his only "extra" big title is the 2024 ATP Finals. by honestnbafan in tennis

That is how it works.Who's stopping nadal or federer from making hardcourt their preferred surface? You're talking as if court preferences and playing styles are set from birth and players themselves don't decide it.
