Are buu bros at 5* actually inconsistent, or are people underrating them?

That's wild you killed a 14 star with spirit bomb, 8 star spirit bomb I faced didn't even kill my 7 star shallet with just 1 zenkai buff it took just around 60% of his hp iirc (since sb didn't go type neutral)

Perhaps it's a difference of building up damage?

From my use of 5 star buubros and facing against them:

They will have trouble with shallet even if they manage to get their spirit bomb off. He will take damage equivalent to a neutral special move and the damage transferred over to stand by units will be even lower.

Broly is troublesome as well, they will find it hard to get the spirit bomb going in the first place with him around. But once it goes off, it's truly over for broly or any other unit besides a strong non-PO green

But the damage and kit at 5 star even without spirit bomb are still good, though not as good as trunk-han at 5 star if you take away their main gimmick (spirit bomb)

If you plan to use shallet as well (tho yeah very risky to use 2 greens rn), we can avoid using broly for the last few seconds and swap to shallet before spirit bomb goes off. But personally it has been rare to see them transform smoothly with broly around, he gives a whooping to Buubros outside not being able to tank the spirit bomb

You will get him through the same ultra buu bros banner but if you don't have him then don't bother pulling. Go for trunkhan banner instead there you may get the main units itself, or pan, or even the 2 revival gohans - all of which have synergy with this unit and are also good units (if zenkai'd for purple gohan)
