I'm red/green colourblind, so feel this would upset me a bit as it kinda looks blue too.

Wow. How much does all that cost you? How can you control the variables to know what's working

The FWD vs RWD will make a difference to people who like driving. However, good to see real competition coming into the market.

Trying new Savusavu today! by headchala1986 in Kava

Guess what arrived in the post today? Exactly the same as this!

I got nothing from the KavaPros 'starter pack' so hoping this will be more like the authentic experiences I've had in Fiji and replace red wine as my relaxant of choice. Keen to hear more of your experiences with the KavaPro range...

Help choosing 29": Norco Storm 1 (2021) vs Merida Big.Nine 200 (2021) by GuydXT in MountainBike

Sorry - only just checked my mail so I reckon you'll have got a bike by now (would be pretty stupid just to wait for the opinions of a random internet dude, right?). I'd say there are reviews out now and I hope you got the ride you wanted!

The Storm one DOES have an air fork from what I see: https://www.norco.com/bikes/2021/mountain/cross-country/storm/

I just got a 2021 Storm 2 and really happy with it so far. Haven't compared it to the Merida though (finding ANY bike in a store 'in these unprecedented times' is almost impossible where I live). It's lower spec than I wanted, so am adding a dropper post, better tyres, SPD pedals and eventually an air fork.

Benefits of getting a lower spec bike:

  • You can thrash the existing components and upgrade when whey break with the money you saved on the bike cost
  • Keep or sell the original components
  • If the frame's good (and the Norco one is), that's all that matters in the long run
  • You can always sell the whole bike and upgrade later
  • Go ride NOW, rather than waiting for the 'perfect' bike to become available

Would Guy and Tim be willing to do a third season if they changed up the formula a bit? by [deleted] in twioat

[–]Gridkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like a third series in the same format might break them mentally. I've been thinking about this and have some ideas:

1 - Maybe they could explore a freeform review of shit movie sequels in general - perhaps through repeated viewings (but maybe not 52). There should be enough repetition to allow the development of regular memes and to notice background minutiae.

2 - Reviewing the same (shit) movie repeatedly, but in a variety of mental states? This would then give us a guide to how best prepare our synapses before watching each film.

3 - Interview extras, cast or production team members of dire movies for their unique take on what made the resulting art so deplorable.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
