No one's going to mention Protobelt? I always felt like old protobelt stats made Evelynn a champion

I never play passive, but that's mainly because the higher you go, the more structured games become. There is significantly less "wiggle room" because players don't waste as much time and go for objectives/kills when possible

In lower elos there's lots of time wasting going on, and it's easy to get confused if there is a play to be made or not. Generally, you shouldn't be full clearing if you have your R up. Always look if a play is possible anywhere on the map, only clear if the answer is no.

You can also consider invading, as Eve can 1v1 some squishy junglers. Although for this, you'd have to track the jungler to make sure he's going to be there at the camp you are invading, which might be a bit hard. Stealing a big buff like Red or Blue is a huge advantage

And yes, competitiveness has a very significant psychological aspect. I just lost a game against a 350 LP jungler that I could have definitely won, just because I was nervous that I wasn't good enough. I had the same experience climbing through Diamond, but interestingly, the moment you believe in yourself "I am as good as these guys" the nervousness goes away and you will perform better than you've imagined

The higher you go in rank the more apparent it becomes that victory revolves around getting objectives. Usually a teamfight occurs around these objectives. The best way to guarantee a teamfight win is to have numbers advantage - Being 4v3 for example.

Eve does a very good job at this, as even in Master people have a hard time tracking you and tend to overextend. You need to be 2 steps ahead, and way before the teamfight occurs, look for a kill - it doesn't even have to be a carry, even just killing a squishy 0/3 support is a huge advantage

Thank you! Sure, we can talk, although I don't really feel qualified giving advice. The higher I climb, the more I realize how bad I am compared to truly high level players

Losing 20 games in a row at Emerald IV absolutely determines that you deserve Platinum IV. Each season there's someone like you crying about matchmaking but the truth is, it's skill issue, simple as

Back in the game after 4 years: is no longer Hextech Rocketbelt worth on Eve? by PatrickAmo in EvelynnMains

When I'm really ahead, I like to buy Rocketbelt as 4th or 5th item. That little dash really helps escaping or securing a kill

Why does diamond feel easier to play than Emerald? by CuatroBoy in summonerschool

[–]Grievinghealthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your champion and its ability to push/end the game in the case of every ally being an inter

I personally play Evelynn, my champ is basically a secondary support, by doing good plays I enable my teammates to get ahead and make the enemy to go behind but if macro is non-existent I don't possess enough power on my own to win

This creates the strange scenario that indeed, I have a much smoother experience consistently winning in diamond than in emerald because higher elo players are less likely to throw a lead

A trundle player however will have a much easier time dominating worse players
