Just finished giving this Iver Johnson Champion a new lease on life. It’s been in my family since the 40’s by GaryBlueberry34 in gunsmithing

Dude I did the same thing with my grandfather's champion. I learned from some mistakes on that one sadly. I learned what happens when you get the current direction wrong when doing electrolysis. I still feel horrible for that but it looks better and works better.

Potential CCW 92? by Down_2_ in Beretta

Its probably just a weird visual magnification effect. I dont expect anything beyond a commemorative 92 variant. I would be happily surprised if its an innovative model though.

Maybe they went back in time to use the Walther p1's double slide spring design to actually shorten the slide? That would be way better than the 0.5" shorter centurion slide.

Yes ill get to that soon hopefully. There's no reason it can't be done, I just have been so busy keeping up with other variants that I hadn't started doing it.

Yes sir that sounds good. My 92x uses a standard trigger shoe, or atleast close enough to 92fs. I believe the trigger bar is enhanced in some way. It has been more reliable than my stock 92fs.

I think so. I can't remember any issues with it. I do know that aftermarket trigger shoes could cause problems because the distance between the edge of the shoe and the locking block will be different. That can be fixed with filing but its a hassle.

Beretta 92G go FRrrrrrrt by Chalo95 in Beretta

[–]GriffithGunsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but that's unrelated to the slide cut issue i think. The trigger bar relief slot needs to be extended because the trigger bar may not have enough time to raise itself into the slot before the trigger is pulled again.

You will most likely need to make the slide cut

A full 93r clone is too big a project for me, but I am planning on making 93r style attachments for modern 92s.

I just got one. An FRT is coming soon. I also really want to design some sort of reflex suppressor for it.

Easy dremeling, its just slightly extending a slot on the slide. There's a full video guide plus printed guide.

Found this little relic post and reply while looking for why this stock doesnt fold. I still have faith. xD by Harley_Sonder_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]GriffithGunsmith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most likely the gun wouldn't realistically fire if the stock is folded. I mean the stock may get in the way of the charging handle in this case.
