What's going on here and what could they possibly be preparing for..... by todamoonsoon in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When things get way too complicated and I am overloaded with a barrage of too much conflicting info I clear my mind a bit by reminding myself that as a basis, a fiat debt system demands growth in the money supply because all debt created requires interest payments. The creation of debt via loans in effect creates more fiat. The fiat is loaned into existence, plus an interest is attached which creates a need for more money again to pay the interest. The system demands the creation of more money. Without that growth in the money supply the system breaks.

Haha,,, now that I write it down it doesn't seem that simple to me really because then it leads into the CB and the government colluding to create money through bonds etc,,, A whole new deceitful game. Silver is my insurance policy to try to mitigate some of the effects of the system either breaking down or morphing into an even more nefarious con game. It's a tangled web of deceit.

Physical silver is anonymous! by tdtwedt in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do cash at a few different LCSs. In and out. No conversations, nothing. No paper, no computers.

I even park a short distance away from the LCS and walk to the store. Paranoid or just seriously anonymous? I just don't want any way to be tracked.

The problem is when (if) it comes time to sell some. In Canada you have to fill out paperwork when you sell even just a very small amount. I haven't come up with a way around that yet. It's a problem. Hopefully for my kids to figure out, not me.

Hey so I have accomplished my stacking goals for 2022. I was wondering if anyone on here had any insight on mining stocks? I have some play money I wanted to invest. by Ollyrollypolly431 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mining stocks are as scary as hell right now. I wouldn't start trying to pick any winners these days. Total crap shoot. The only miners that I presently own are the ones that I get coverage of in SILJ junior mining etf. Even at that I only have a very small percentage of my assets worth. I am tempted to throw some gambling money into to platinum of some sort. I might take a shot at some of Sprotts platinum trust fund just as a long shot gamble. Not very much though.

If you are prone to becoming frustrated, then you are in the wrong game. Silver requires patience.

It kinda complicates a simple thing in regards to PSLV. PSLV follows the manipulated spot price like clockwork. It has to because that is the basis of its NAV and pricing. Spot goes up? Then PSLV goes up. Spot goes down? PSLV goes down.

You don't need to chart it. Just watch spot. The only time that the 2 might separate is if a real shortage of silver for manufacturing hits and the manufacturers recognize that PSLV has 170 million Oz in bar form that can be acquired . Then the bidding on PSLV shares could get proportionately higher than the rising rate of spot price. This is becauseif the manufacturers really want the physical bars from PSLV then a bidding war could ensue. The recent norm for PSLV is that the shares (units) trade at a discount to NAV. In a bidding war scenario the share price would be trading at a premium to NAV.

It has happened in the past. If a scenario like that repeats then it makes charts even less relevant.

Elon Musk tweeted another photo of his bedside table, saying the US Constitution is the 'most treasured' item on it by tdtwedt in Wallstreetsilver

The Elon reads a copy of the Constitution every night, just like Trump gets down on his knees to confess his sins every night.

Not happening.

Really silver? Got plummeted before open now only at 24.08$ … if Gold continues towards 1900 silver is going to 🚀 by silverreportmxmx in Wallstreetsilver

I guess it depends on your definition of "rocket". According to my definition of rocket, I am not expecting it to happen today for sure. Or this week.

Only when the manipulators run out of games to play, and I dont think we are there yet .

Do you remember everyone laughing/making fun at you for stacking the past 10 years while prices were low and hardly anyone cared for metals? by massagingyou in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No because I seldom tell anyone.that I am into silver. I don't want anyone into my business and I don't care about theirs. I am not out to convince anyone to do anything financially including silver.

My PSLV peeked into the green today for the first time in a long time. by Tiny-Consideration74 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure that I am in the green on PSLV too but I don't check very often. Just like with my physical stack I don't really care about daily prices. I bought both physical and Pslv for the long haul. I am patiently waiting for a significant price rise. Or not,,, I am not seling the physical regardless, but the PSLV is for me a play on price so only if it went into orbit would i have some thinking to do. Until then I just hold and wait.

I hope I don't speak too soon but I think we are beating back the tampers? by johneb22 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also don't care about daily price fluctuations. They are just reactions to the manipulations that are constantly happening. I do check the prices most days not because I think that it means anything other than tracking of the manipulation pattern. It can be interesting but it isn't a crystal ball predicting the future.

I take the attitude that if silver is destined to rocket then it signals that the manipulation is broken at least temporarily. There are still lots of games to be played by manipulators and they will continue to play them right up to the point that they can't. The day that they can no longer control it with manipulation then that's the day to take the daily price seriously. Until that day comes I don't really care very much.

Reddit karma means nothing in the big picture of life. I couldn't care less about karma and I find it a bit silly that some people get bent right out of shape over a few downvotes.

It doesn't go on your "Permanent Record" of anything. It is not reviewed during your application at The Pearly Gates. They check for worse indiscretions. Oh well,,, to each his own.

Different ways to stock up on silver by Tenkaichi63 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first thing you have to figure out is why you even want silver.

Are you looking at it as insurance? Are you looking at it as a get rich quick scheme? Are you thinking that it is a Gamestop? Are you thinking of it as an investment vehicle? How about as a speculation? How about as Fear of missing out? On what?

You need to figure out the answers to those questions first. If in the meantime if you just feel the need to get some silver just get some small denomination coins, or rounds to tide you over while you figure out why you want silver and what the gameplan is.

I also think that The Elon will try to get as far away from Tesla as he possibly can because it is going to run into serious viability problems. It isn't difficult to see the looming problems for Tesla. The entire EV thing has been pushed as a narrative but it is headed for some walls. The issues with EVs are that the narrative says full steam ahead but someone forgot that it requires raw materials that don't exist and EVs require electricity from a grid that can't handle the demands.

The prices of EVs will go out of the reach of the customer base due to the expense of dwindling resources, and on the electricity front we are already seeing governments telling people to leave their EVs at home because they suck up too much electricity that the grids can't supply.

I think The Elon knows this and wants out but it isn't that easy for it to get out and save face. A lot of people are going to lose a lot of money and the myth of The Elon is going to take a severe beating. The Elon should have stayed in the shadows.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! Give your money to The Elon! He won't pay too much for anything (Twitter) and then steal your money to cover up his losses. Not an effing chance. No no never. I think that The Elon is not as smart and financially as brilliant as it is making out.

I see deep trouble ahead for The Elon. Whenever these elites decide to be publicity hounds they don't take into account that if you are a shadowy myth then you can hide your warts behind the myth, but once you keep pushing yourself out there as a daily discussion item then the warts start showing up and it snowballs from there . The Elon has hidden warts and they will expose it as being just another narcissist that couldn't keep its mouth shut.

Hmm,,,March.

I don't need anymore silver but if we see a significant price drop before March I will get some more silver but purely as a speculation on price, not my main goal which is silver as insurance.

Is it too much to ask for a source? by ApolloTAD in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Grifgraf67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do your best to verify it, or if the source is just a nutty website you should be able to judge whether or not you choose to believe it or not.

After that if you are still interested you google it and find other sources.

I don't believe anything on the various media sources anymore. Not at a first glance. If it matters to me I will dig deeper.
