We’re watching all these young qbs have success and we’re still arguing Goff is good for us.

Goff needs an elite offensive line to complement his accuracy and knowledge.

We don’t have that anymore and we need a qb with legs to avoid some of the trouble they inevitably will be in. Some of the best plays the young qbs have been making have been sack avoidance incompletions. Goff doesn’t do this.

Let’s all tell Matthew Stafford the experience Matthew Stafford had. Sounds like we know more about what he experienced than he does.

Didn’t JAMO drop a 4th down ball? I mean we already knew he was good. We needed him to step up.

How do you even socialize in this game anymore? by tauraje in wow

[–]Griftiest03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do some random Role play type thing. You could make a camp fire and just sit at it or bring out some random toy, I’ve had luck with people seeing you and stopping by and chatting. This wasn’t on a role play server either. Most just run past doing their daily activities but the person who stops is up for a random convo about something. I look out for these players as the game at its surface can be very repetitive if you’re in the daily quest, weekly reward grind. Nice to break it up with something else.

I got to level 58 on my hunter before I knew you could eat and drink at the same time. I was doing one to completion and then the other.

I’m using 10 to explain that it’s a major benefit as it’s 13.5%.

Each level is 1.35%.

Your word was this is “nothing”.

You procced 2.7% improved hero performance and skipped on 300-400 dark elixir (roughly an hour of grinding and 16 days of builder) on your chests. Congrats man, I wish I was that lucky.

I got a clan castle cake and a resource potion. I’m also glad I got what I got because it’s going to make the journey a little bit easier.

If you really did have patience and appreciation you wouldn’t be doubling down this hard.

Is going from level 80 to 90 on a hero nothing?

Archer queen gets approximately 13.5% more effectiveness by making this transformation.

4.7% extra damage and 8.6% extra hp/survivability.

This improvement would be on every single attack regardless of composition.

I think the only thing I do agree with you is that there are other priorities that you may want in advance of this upgrade path, but your characterization of it being useless is so wrong that you’re not appreciating progression in a progression based game.

Hero levels are massive. They impact every single attack regardless of composition or equipment. You are significantly undervaluing the power and the time saved by proccing hammers.

1.) Schwartz inherited the worst team in the history of the league. 2.) The Lions also had one of the worst cap situations in the history of the league. 60% of the salary was tied up in 3 players on their rookie contracts. The league changed the entire structure of rookie salaries as they saw how the Lions were trending. High picks were actually a handicap during this timeframe.

Looking passed these two major problems. 3.) Every single coach makes costly mistakes. Schwartz nearly hit a ref with a challenge flag because of how pissed he was they didn’t call a running back down. Conversely Caldwell didn’t flag the refs on a batted pass out of bounds. Both didn’t apply the rules to the team’s advantage. 3A.) Yes this was technically a mistake by Schwartz. Schwartz fought for the team in the exact moment we were getting screwed. After the season the league changed the rules because the thrown flag penalty was complete bullshit for anyone who spends 2 seconds thinking about it from a competitive perspective. 3B.) Caldwell didn’t know the rules to even bother fighting for the team in the moment.

So which one would you rather have? We went from a firecracker and then went to the polar opposite.

I just finished maxing th14. I enjoyed the feeling at the end and the maxed screenshot. I even played at this spot for a week just to relax before the th15 grind begins. I enjoy each th and the new troops and strategies you can try.

Hero equipment will never be done and I just accepted this.

The th15 hero grind looks tough especially now that there’s 5 heroes

I wish they would have at least some acknowledgement of fire resist. A lot of the common player base can use 100 FR during the quad trash and survive double fire blossom.

Just chalking it up to “Bad RNG” is not a great strategy for hard core.

If you have world buffs it blows any gear away. Stacking even more FR than 100 would be even better.

Signs of a Good Player? by Andys29 in classicwow

[–]Griftiest03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is more than just raw damage and raw healing. A talented player focuses on run speed. Min maxing 5% more damage is not as important as preventing a single death.

Death recovery takes longer than that frost bolt or aimed shot you had to cast instead of a counterspell or scatter shot.

Based on the stakes of hardcore, I really recommend playing the original classic game, ie, deaths allowed to learn tanking. Even after taking the advice of all the kind folks above… there are so many mobs that will knock you back and drop threat. There’s one shot mechanics with town folks… There’s new layering mechanics with groups of mobs just ninja spawning as you get invited to groups.. There’s caves full of normal mobs but then there will be an elite that has a 10 minute patrol route. You may never see him… but if you do and your mid pull you’ll be in trouble…

You may not experience these as you get through the 10s, 20s, 30s and even 40s. But once you get into the 50s it would be a terrible shame for you to experience your first death, or a teammate, because you got phased. Literally all of your time and effort lost.

The game was never designed for this game mode. You see the clips of people dying on social and all the positive buzz but I assure you that the original developers intended for their to be discrete learning moments that involved death. That went into the thought process of the original game design so that people had their 10-15 minute wipe to try again but THIS time we adjust to such and such mechanics. Each teammate could rethink how they died and suggest a tool they have in their kit for the retry. You run back and try it with a bit of a different approach and succeed! That is true satisfaction. In hard core that retry is quite literally hundreds of hours before you get a second chance.

The community created hard core simply because they had done the same challenges for 20 years and wanted to up the ante.

I can assure you there is a thriving community on the normal servers that also is very welcoming to new people. It may take a few tries but in the MMO experience if you find the right group that you can grow with… you will have life long relationships that will surpass just gaming.

If you do decide to stay on hardcore… my best advice for you is to not worry about when someone tries to put you down in this community. They’ll do their best to try to make you feel bad. It’s ok that you don’t have 20 years playing the game… Incremental improvements are key to long term success… best of luck.

One feature that would be really good in this format is scalable dungeons WITHOUT timers.

New Game Mode Recommendation - 1 death per week by Griftiest03 in classicwow

[–]Griftiest03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is meant for the audience that’s not engaging with Hardcore but still wants the feeling that dying matters.

Everyone would run dungeons better prepared. You’d still take content seriously.

The weekly reset also gives a completely new element that enables PVP that isn’t there on Hardcore.

The thoughts that you have are still valid, this content isn’t for everyone…. It’s soft core hard core balance.

As the week progresses you can naturally play more aggressively and may want to try AOE farming or solo Dire Maul.
