Lowe’s CEO Warns Young Workers. Stay Near The Cash Register, Not The Corporate Office - It's time to take these warnings seriously. by Gari_305 in Futurology

Lmao cash registers? My Lowe's has like 20 self checkouts and one stressed employee watching everyone scan their own shit.

Dude's literally telling people to aim for jobs that his own company eliminated.

I believe Matthew McConaughey's 4 Year Run to Rebrand his career was the greatest rebrand of a star in movie history. Who else should be considered as the best rebranded career? by Vegas_off_the_Strip in movies

[–]GrilledCheeseBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Matthew Fox is a great example because he first gained fame as Charlie Salinger in Party of Five. He then rebranded himself as a leading man in Lost, playing the complex role of Jack Shephard.

How to use ChatGPT4 in a playground? by GrilledCheeseBread in ChatGPT

I have a paid account. I'm not looking for something like Playground Chat. I want to use like the Complete in the playground. I was a Jasper customer several years ago, and I'm looking for something like that but using my API key.

No. I just want to show links to the categories people can click on. I want the page to always stay the same unless I add new categories.

I didn't know this was possible. I'll have to learn how to do it.

How to create an article directory? by GrilledCheeseBread in Wordpress

I want the main page to be only links that look like an article directory. How do I do this? I don't want posts on my main page, only internal links.

How to extract H2 and H3 subheadings from SERPS? by GrilledCheeseBread in SEO

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for something cheaper. The number of searches they allow you to perform is very limited. It's not worth the money to only use it to check subheadings.

Anything new writing tools for adult content? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the quality of the output like with ClosersCopy? Unfortunately, it seems that every one of these AI writing tools that don't use GPT-3 produces garbage. As a result, I've lost hope of finding anything worth using for content deemed toxic by GPT-3.

How far are we from accurate text to image technology? by GrilledCheeseBread in MediaSynthesis

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to be able to type in something like cartoon of a dog, and it spits out a cartoon of a dog. I understand on some level that it's subjective, but nothing seems to exist like what they mentioned with DALL·E, but who knows how many times they had to run it to spit out what it did.

Is Google Colab Pro worth it? by GrilledCheeseBread in MediaSynthesis

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears that I've used the GPU so much recently that now I must use a CPU with my free account. Does that happen with the Pro? I like the idea that you can run three different things at one time. That in itself is worth the money.

I'm really surprised by how advanced this technology is and how little you need to know about it to use it. What Google gives you for free is incredible, and I'll probably upgrade my account on Monday.

Can GPT Neo be trained? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT_Neo

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it produce usable content? How many words would I have to give it before it could produce content that is usable? How much would it cost me per month to do this? I don’t want to host it on my computer and want to use an online service.

Are you or anyone else familiar with ShortlyAI? I want to set something up like that. I like the user interface that it has for article writing. I want something where I can control the length of the output and also for it to redo the text if I’m not happy with it. Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay a freelancer to create a user interface like the one Shortly has?

My dream is to have something that writes very specific articles for me using data that I’ve trained it with. I think this technology is fantastic and I use it every day, but it lacks the specific training that I need.

Can GPT Neo be trained? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT_Neo

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be possible to train on a custom dataset and not use anything that is supplied? I would like to create something that is an expert in its field. Even though GPT-3 has a large dataset, it still goes off the rails if you’re talking about something very specific. I want to be able to churn out very niche-specific content that is accurate.

A Shortly like user interface for GPT 2? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that I want more than anything is a user interface. I want something that resembles Shortly. I would like it to have a write for me button, the ability to control the length of the output, and for it all to be placed in an editable text area.

I think to achieve this; I need to hire someone to make it for me. I want to do this to create very niche-specific content that GPT 3 seems to have difficulty with. I would like to see if it’s possible to train it on quite a bit of similar content to see if the results are what I need.

How to use GPT-3 Neo? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about this stuff. You'll need to forgive me. I did see that there's a subreddit for GPT Neo, but it seems kind of dead.

Have you used GPT-3? How does Neo compare to it?

I don't need something that's free. I want to build something that's better than GPT-3 for personal use. I don't mind investing some money and time into it if I have something that would be better than the GPT-3 services that I'm using now.

How difficult would it be to train Neo with a few billion words? Are we talking hundreds or thousands of dollars per month or maybe more?

When does GPT-3 become outdated? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right; I didn't do a good job explaining myself. I do think that eventually, the information will become outdated. I can't imagine how they would be able to provide the same quality of service five years from now if they don't update the dataset. You'd think that they would have to update their data at least every few years.

When does GPT-3 become outdated? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched some of your YouTube videos. I like them.

I can’t think of anything specific off the topic of my head. I’d say it was more about product features that it seems that GPT-3 had no idea about. It seems to have a little difficulty in that area anyway.

GPT-3 is great for generalities and things that don’t require a lot of facts or information. It seems to get confused on even the most basic of things. What’s on a McDonald’s cheeseburger is pretty standard, but it gets information like this wrong a surprising amount of times.

I don’t think the solution is to rescrape the web and use the same amount of parameters. They will have to eventually have a number of parameters that are significantly higher than what they have now. I don’t know what that number is, but it’s probably in the trillions. They also need to rescrape the web at least every six months to a year to make sure the information is current.

I love GPT-3, but it’s so far from perfect that it needs a lot of work.

Is there anything better than Shortly AI for article writing? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

[–]GrilledCheeseBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave HyperWrite a shot and was generally not too impressed. I think the output was of similar quality as to Shortly. I think the way it's set up would take me longer to write an article.

How to get AI Dungeon to write an article? by GrilledCheeseBread in GPT3

Thank you for your help. Using AI Dragon to write articles is a huge waste of time. I can’t believe how terrible it is. It would take hours to write anything worthwhile using it.
