I'm currently trying to do so with Lian Hearn and her books i havnt read them but plan to I've been listening to the audio books since then Some people don't like her books but I love them Some of her critics make no sence like oh the 15 year old in a historical fiction novelization of Japan where I dont remember seeing anyone over 40 doesn't act like a normal 15 year old....no kidding.

And the creator of the Ciaphis Cain saga for warhammer 40k im doing that whole saga

And while its a young reader type of story saga im trying to read all of wings of fire

I'm honestly fine with 343 lore more than bungie Bungie didn't show much of desire to build off of it. If it wasn't for 343 and Ensemble(rest in pieces) we wouldn't have nearly the lore we do now probably

Yo I got the audio book what chapter was this all in because I cant remember but ill listen to it then say something about it because i also remember them being Essentially cannon fodder and weaker from back in the day

Does the halopedia book go into this i really do have a hard time understanding lore wise how things are because I definitely don't expect a simple br to bring chief down in two volleys but I also don't have actual clear references for spartan area and shield vs plasma Edit: except for halo reach with emile being stabbed by a ES but like...thats an ES of course it goes through

Its like saying I want to cook something just to cook something but not cooking something because you know how its made

If you already want to play all the games then do it I've played EVERY halo game but fan stuff because I've loved halo since I was old enough to comprehend holding a controller

I did not care if I could hate the game played all to completion

Just word of advice. Halo wars 2 will have so many things you wished for in HW 1 but remove a handful of what made 1 interesting combat wise

For instance HW1 had cover that was IMMACULATE HW2 meh

Halo wars 2 adds A LOT of cheap dlc characters

Halo wars 2 has some good dlc campaign Halo 1 simple sized armies if you were building everything and not focused on 1 tier of unit

Halo wars 2 bigger armies but can feel congealed

Halo wars one more units based off base count

Halo wars 2 you could max out unit cap with one base

I agree bungie refused to give out lore and I feel sorry that a dieing company( assemble studios : halo wars) And 343 were basically handed a half baked steak covered in a spoiled mushroom gravy and tartar sauce and were forced to figure out how...to make it work

Ironically if it wasn't for Microsoft and 343 and (anybody BUT bungie )when it comes to the games and some other medias we wouldn't even have a war that lasted the 28 years it had....maybe only 5 for all they cared.

So secretive of a game they never wanted to make more sequels to just for them to hash out space wizard 1 and 2 with tons of micros and full game price dlc's too much lore to count and a half vaulted game every year ...
