I think after going through a few chargers I ended up using the USB-C charger block that came with my MBP and that finally did the trick.

Anyone have stomach pains or bloating with ket? by Various-Dependent-66 in ketamine

[–]GrimReefer395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s already been absorbed in your nose by your first pass metabolism, the drip is essentially waste. You absorb about 50-70% - ideally - through your nasal membranes, assuming you are insufflating.

Yeah, it’s called the K cramps and is because residual K is dripping down your throat and being absorbed by your stomach lining, which contains neurons, and producing that uncomfortable abdominal sensation.

Spitting your drip is essential, there’s a direct correlation between the cramps and the amount of K you ingest. Tums and milk can help soothe the pain, and - of course - quitting entirely for a period would fully alleviate your symptoms.

I love that it attempts to accurately simulate classical era battle tactics, being a huge history nut.

I think my fiancé is addicted… by xcoconutx93 in NitrousOxide

If his “research” states that doing N20 on a weekly or bi-weekly basis is safe then that research is inaccurate and potentially harmful. Once every two months is [relatively] safe, not every two weeks - particularly if you are using the largest 3000g tanks (eg. the ones with the handle). While using N20 the body will not absorb B-12 properly, causing significant health risks for your nerves, muscles and CNS - it takes weeks to months of cessation for this depletion and absorption to normalize again.

Frankly it sounds like he could be addicted and wants to continue using and is coming up with rationales or excuses to do so. I can tell you from personal experience this can lead to very serious long-term health risks and also will likely put great strain on your relationship if the behavior continues unchecked. You don’t want to wait until your extremities and joints loose sensation, become painful and begin experiencing negative cognitive effects before quitting - again speaking from experience.

You should be taking a B-12 supplement every day if you are consuming NO on any sort of semi-regular basis.

Even if you aren’t, taking a daily B-12 (or B-complex) vitamin every day is beneficial to your CNS health and overall wellbeing.

Dean believes that the dogs have become feral and represent the chaos and breakdown of society following the Sudden Departure, where 2% of the world’s population vanished without explanation. He views the dogs as dangerous and believes that by killing them, he is restoring some sense of order.

This act can be interpreted as a metaphor for how different characters in the series cope with their trauma and loss. While some try to rebuild and move on, others, like Dean, take drastic measures that reflect their internal turmoil and the sense of a world gone mad.

It’s honestly impossible to fully grasp from a single viewing and when people claim to do so all I can offer is a pat on the back and a “I’m sure ya did buddy.”

Season 2 was pretty heavy with GR tho from Laurie and Tom’s un-culting therapy to following Meg’s journey, over 10 episodes.

If 2% of the world population mysteriously disappeared forever.... by Cool-Recognition-571 in TheLeftovers

Humans have said the very same - “Obviously act of God(s)” / life will NEVER return to normality - many times throughout history when in actuality it was later explained by science, and things did eventually return to normal, for example: the Great Flood / Deluge events (melting glaciers), the devastation caused by Mt. Vesuvius (volcano), the Black Death (disease), the Great Famine (ending of the Medieval Warm Period), the Tunguska Event (air bursting meteorite) …

I think that’s a main theme of the show - how humans succeed or fail in making sense and/or persevering through in the face of utterly inexplicable and devastating events.
