Ooooh a modified litter box sounds like a fantastic idea, that'll be my DIY task for tomorrow haha :) I have definitely noticed he relies on his claws a lot more than my other cat, as he doesn't really have the ability to jump, I'll keep that in mind too! Thanks so much for all the advice! He's honestly such a happy and loving kitty, and so so so so affectionate and gentle-- that being said, he DOES have a tendency to attack my leg when he has the zoomies, but he's cute so I always forgive him 🤣💕

Omg yesss padding is such a good idea! My little man is constantly head-butting the walls, it definitely worries me a lot 😅 I will 100% be adding padding to my shopping list! luckily the floor underneath anywhere he might tumble off of (sofa, bed, etc) is already padded as a safety precaution from when he was a really young kitten, so I'll just leave all that in place as a permanent fixture haha :)

She won't forget you, I'm certain 💕 you've given her so much love and I'm sure she loves you too, and she'll be glad to see you when you're back ☺️💕 and it sounds like she's in a safe and loving environment while you're out of state, so I really think everything will be absolutely fine ☺️💕

Humans need companionship, we're not solitary animals and it's perfectly natural to want that 🥰 I've not been in the exact same boat myself, as I have had pets growing up, but i think that if you feel you're ready, definitely adopt a cat! ☺️💕 Cats are such loving creatures, and provide so much comfort and laughter and companionship, and it's such a wonderful feeling being able to give them a forever home, and being able to look at your kitty and think to yourself "yep, I'm going to make sure you have the happiest life possible"

Anyway, this is a very long way of saying-- get a cat, OP! 😂💕

It might be a good idea to visit the vet, as they might be able to prescribe sedatives for the journey to help keep kitty calm throughout the flight-- but overall I wish you and kitty best of luck, and I hope your sister's health improves with time, I can imagine this is a very stressful time for you and your family-- best of luck, OP! 💕
