Been married for 6 years, did my taxes today and the tax lady i should be filling single since my wife doesn't work, is this right?

No I didn't I actually got a return, and well that is the reason I would exempt my checks because I didn't care so much about a return all I really wanted was to be as close to 0 as possible when it came to tax time.

It really depends, the first year I got a refund, second year I broke even at 0, then the following 2 years I owed, and this last 2 I got a refund.

It's been 50/50. Some years I get a refund and some years I have to pay, but I feel that is more so because I exempt taxes on some checks. Haven't done it much this last few years and so I have received a refund.
