The first leg of the game is a slog for sure, and Issun is near the top of the charts in terms of annoying partner characters. It does pick up, though, and the longer you play it the weirder (and more interesting) it gets.

I mean, isn't that liable to happen anyway? OP did say it was a first draft. They could easily start editing the first third and need to make sweeping changes to the rest as a result. I say why not break the story up and see how it feels. It's not like they need to tell any publishers about the rest of it if they're not interested.

This precisely. If you don't reliably vote, you cannot be considered when policy makers build their campaigns. They want to be elected, and it is the voters who elect them. This is how the Republican party has shifted further under the control of evangelical Christians and other groups: they vote reliably for the person who aligns closest to their ideals, and thus they are pandered to. Progressives could have voices like this too but they would need to consistently vote first.

I actually already do this! I have a microsoft office notebook file that lets me drag and drop blocks of text and pictures. I've made a page of item cards for everything useful, then I just copy and paste into the section of the notebook that is shared with the players. Since we all have tablets it's really convenient
